Bullied 11-Year-Old Has Surgery to Remove 'Elf Ears'

An 11-year-old girl tired of being bullied went under the knife to change her ears. Bella Harrington says she was teased about her "elf ears." It got so bad, she taped back her ears and even fixed her hair so they wouldn't show. Dr. Joe Niamtu, a plastic surgeon, says five percent of the population has protruding ears. Julianne Mc you have to take in mind what's Normal and abnormal in the medical world. Let's say having white skin is normal but being an albino is abnormal. There's nothing wrong with abnormalities, life would be boring if I wasn't a miope Because I absolutely love my glasses, it's an abnormality in the medical field but to many it's normal in the real world. I could get surgery to have normal eyes but I'll pass on it. My point being that he's not wrong, she did have abnormal ears and after the surgery she now has normal ears looking at the perspective of a medic.

I did that surgery to one of my ears (actually the only one who neded to be fixed) and after that i fellt like a normal person. My mom and dad was happy that i was happy. Actually, no one bullied of that (they gived me compliments so im gonna feel better) but i just like hated myself of that. Now i am very happy!😊
