Another classic game. Like fine wine, it just gets better to watch the level of athleticism on which MJ played. That sStockton pass stolen in the air cleanly by MJ was great. MJ grabbed clean steal/catches more than anyone because of his passing lane anticipation and superhuman reflexes. Thanks again.

Great job with the vid. MJ was unbelievable in this game on both ends of the court. You and Hoops need to keep up the great work; we all appreciate your efforts. I also enjoy your posts of the game notes and quotes from the newspapers the following day. It's a nice touch!

For 8 minutes I saw something that I've never seen before. And I will never see again...ever. MJ is out of this world. Untouchable...The Greatest ever.

I have MJ's first UNC game ever, his first TV appearance ever, his first NBA rookie game, and his rookie 49 point game. They will all go up!

1) Hot Rod Hundley is the most underrated announcer in basketball. MONEY. Never a homer (6:12, 6:53), always willing to point out bad calls, whether they are for or against the jazz (6:34). Always respects talent. Always gets excited when a big bucket is made, whether it is for the jazz or against. (2:34, 3:39, 4:40, 6:30). 2) It's really fun to see Stockton, Malone, and Jordan all so young. I miss 'em 3) Mark Eaton WAS really as big, white, and slow as I remember.

If that's the only image you've seen of Jordan, you haven't been paying attention for the last 20 years.

Is this the legend of someone in the stands yelling... @ 3:05 - "Hey, Jordan... Pick on someone your own size" after he spins on dunks on Stockton. @ 3:37 - Next time down the floor he dunked on Mel Turpin. @ 3:43 - MJ looked back and responded "Was he big enough?"

the commentator is right. that was "a HAM-MER" that's the most legit Jordan dunk ever. someone who has the equipment do this youtube video stuff needs to extract the segment from 3:35 to 4:06 and make short, sweet vid of this. maybe throw in 4:38-5:00 as bonus footage it is literally unbelievable how fast Jordan's right hand comes down on the dunk at 3:39 (even in slow mo it looks fast)

Yes, I have highlights of 3-4 possessions from his first NBA game along with some other rookie highlights. I searched youtube but couldn't find them, so I may upload them. If you want more, you should consult hoopsencyclopedia. He probably has more.

haha Hot Rod Huntley was always giving moves his own names. In this video he calls Jordan's reverse lay-up an "Alley-oop" and later on a fade-away he calls "the cork screw"

Poor Mel Turpin. "Was he big enough?" Not only that, he dunked over Bailey and Eaton also. Check out future Bull Bobby Hansen.

Now "THIS" Michael Jordan is the G.O.A.T!! "THIS" is Air Jordan, the one who has "NO" Equal..MJ from '95-'98, was great & better than anyone in the league right now, but "that" MJ doesn't compare to "THIS" one & no one else for that matter..

add this dunk onto the video: watch?v=ESCkEoF0xuE keep the original audio (no cheeseball music). Only the music of Jordan's wrist banging on iron I sort of feel like a producer (kinda cool). now I just need a director anybody?
