@BullsCentral I'm not sure I agree. Buzelis was the best talent available by far, and he fit our need (pf with size). Giddey is young but he has started in more than 200 games. I think we're just trying to get younger, becoming a high pace team. You need picks to rebuild...They would have traded Caruso for picks, in this weak draft we could have for sure gotten 2 picks (one for this draft & one for 2026)

The Giddey one is a disaster ffs. If you want to rebuild, atleast have a pick or two. What's the point of rebuilding if you can't get any good assets on the draft? Considering that OKC is a goldmine of draft picks, we should have at least one. I admit, Giddey is good at some areas of the game, but the fact that it looks like a salary dump is so fucking pointless to the rebuild.

Honestly even if we get rid of Zack and Vuc it's not going to be a rebuild. Ayo has shown he can put up 12 to 20 points in games. I think Coby is going to get better. With Giddey Julian Phillips can carve out a role especially with his vert. If Billy lets this team play really fast it could be fun to watch. Are they going to be a playoff team no but I wouldn't be surprised if they were near the play-in again.

Ya know, I honestly think AK would prefer to tinker with the roster to see if they could be a playoff team sooner rather than later, but the financial restraints, and two of the current cornerstone players getting older, and further out of their primes, he's just playing the cards he has. The best option is to acquire the best talent he can, and the youth movement is just the most logical step. Real sports fans know the Bears and the Bulls haven’t been worth watching for years. Both ownerships are a joke. Greedy, incompetent, and uninspired. Cubs at least finally won. 2 years ago Giddey averaged 17/6/8 in only 31 minutes per game. In James Harden's final season with OKC before he exploded with Houston he averaged 17/4/4 in that same 31 minutes. Chicago just got a white Magic Johnson. The Thunder and GM Sam Presti just made a colossal blunder.

Don't compare him to harden. Harden went to the NBA finals giddy was the number 3 option at the end of the year on a non playoff team. He averaged 16 points on 15 shots and this year the team was a playoff team and he was the 5th or 6th best player. In the playoffs he was unplayable
