Thats why the dogs get tested before breeding, in my opinion it comes down to proportions really, but they developed this dog from dogs that are normally big boned as Well as heavy And this is just the beginning of the breed and only one example of the breed its still to early to know

Disliking the video, simply because you don't like the dog is stupid. The brotha puts in a lot of work to bring people this content. Regardless of what your feelings on this dog are, Zeke brings people great content that you can't find anywhere else. The dog ain't my thing, but the video was dope and interesting. Respect

"Perhaps it's like a Liger". Please look up the genetic factors that makes Ligers as big as they are. It's not natural. It's not healthy. It has nothing to do with crossing two members of the same species. This channel has great content. I'm sure this gentleman loves those puppies -- and I have no doubt he has done a great deal of research. With that said, even wearing the most rose-colored glasses you can see the hip issues developing already. 4-6 years old max. "Anytime you introduce larger gene pools, you bring an influx of health?" -- bruh. Seriously?

The farther dogs stray from nature's idea of "canine", the more problems go along with it. This never varies. The dog pays in one way, the owner pays in other ways, the vets have to try to compensate for what no one wants to really discuss, the trainers have to tell the truth.

Have this dog's hips x-rayed. He is lame with limited range of motion on the rear right hip at 0:58 Would like to see more health info on these videos that highlight "extreme and exotic" breeders. Orthopedic issues, bone cancer and life expectancy would be a good start when breeding for extreme size. Some breeders on this channel are very responsible; these Bully and "extreme/exotic" breeders as they call themselves never say a single word about health testing - and theyre the ones who need it the most.

yeah because it's not like they're still gigantic breeds that live the 10-17 years like Tibetan Mastiffs 12 to 15 years Central Asian Shepherd 12 to 15 years Persian Sarabii 12 to 17 years Great Danes if you're lucky 10 years noticing a pattern it's not the size that makes them unhealthy it's the backyard Breeders that royally fucked up the breed same with Rottweilers that used to be able to live up to 15 years no problem then backyard breeders fucked them up because they were breeding them for looks instead of work and if you would have looked into it you would have realized they used dogs that have good genetics so they very well could be used for work granted they're not going to be the most efficient at it because they weren't bread to have the right mindset for work but that will only take one or two generations because it genetically reverted to being a molasses instead of a mastiff so it's going to be very easy to breed in those traits like extremely dense bones human and animal aggression and if someone took a few these dogs and did that as well as work the dogs you would see these dogs living just as long as any of the others I mentioned

One litter of mixed breed puppies doesn’t make a new breed. He simply has a cross breed or hybrid dog. You only have achieved a new breed when those dogs can mate with each other and produce litters that exhibit the breed characteristics. For example, breeding two Yorkiepoos doesn’t produce a Litter of Yorkiepoos.

This is great, I use to breed these many years ago under a different name. Mine had the same color. I had a 180 pound female that could leap a 6ft fence without touching it. She had amazing confirmation, and at 30 inches tall, she looked like a giant Cane Corso, and had the same attitude. She looked like a horse running, and could actually outrun and take down deer. Most of my others looked thicker, and were not as quick, but were longer lived than English mastiffs, and had few health problems. The best way I have found is to use a cross between a Neo and Cane Corso female, with a huge muscled set of hips. The Cane Corso puts far stronger hips into the breed. Then use a massive English Mastiff with with the type of big hips, and the thick head and chest. These are hard to find now, but their are still some in Texas. When you put these together you have the actual old type fighting Molossus. Please note, the Cane Corso is the oldest unbroken Molussus breed, that dates all the way back to the Roman Empire. The Neo is only a few hundred years old, and split in an attempt to breed larger types, but about 70 years or so, more types of Mastiff blood was introduced making the Neo what it is now. I prefer they Neo of the 1940's before the breed was tinkered with. This is why I say to breed in a Cane Corso of powerful type. Inside that Cane Corso is the size, athletic ability, and temp you need. Look at my Cane Corso Lobo, already 170 pounds of massive muscle and drive. This is what you need.

Base on mastiff breed studies I can't imagen how this dogs hips, elbows will be like in a year or 2. Poor dog. As its mastiffs have a long list of issues. Mixing them won't make them disappear. Smh.... poor ethics.

Most of you in the comments complaining about the faults in the dog need to learn more about breeding. This is one of the first puppies of a new breed. Instead of bashing it, give advice. Also, it takes a while for a breed to develop. The problems in the breed show what needs to be improved. This is just the first wobbly steps. I’m sure the breed will be modified in future programs. Idk, adding a Fila Brasileiro into it or a tosa Inu, both well balanced dogs, would probably aid it.

This dog is young and already looks like it has hip problems. The key to having a big dog is breeding for the right reasons. Those being health, conformation and temperament. I am a Presa Canario owner and my boy is amazing however due to poor breeding (didn't know when bought him) he was diagnosed with elbow and hip dysplasia and now his 3 years it's starting to show. We keep him lean and work him little by little and hydro. Breeding for an overweight dog is wrong. Why people do this as us owners whom love the bigger breeds also feel their pain.

yeah because it's not like they're still gigantic breeds that live the 10-17 years like Tibetan Mastiffs 12 to 15 years Central Asian Shepherd 12 to 15 years Persian Sarabi 12 to 17 years Great Danes if you're lucky 10 years noticing a pattern it's not the size that makes them unhealthy it's the backyard Breeders that royally fucked up the breed same with Rottweilers that used to be able to live up to 15 years no problem then backyard breeders fucked them up because they were breeding them for looks instead of work and if you would have looked into it you would have realized they used dogs that have good genetics so they very well could be used for work granted they're not going to be the most efficient at it because they weren't bread to have the right mindset for work but that will only take one or two generations because it genetically reverted to being a molasses instead of a mastiff so it's going to be very easy to breed in those traits like extremely dense bones human and animal aggression and if someone took a few these dogs and did that as well as work the dogs you would see these dogs living just as long as any of the others I mentioned

Ancient Molossus may have disappeared after the fall of Rome. Either die at war or owners could not keep up with them do to economy and cross breeding. Even today no conclusive prove tell us what the original Molossus may have look like. After the 1300 Neapolitans and Corsos where choose to be the closest comparison to that beautiful ancient puppy. 🙏

This man is so full of himself. Thinking he resurrected an ancient breed by mixing a neapolitan and english mastiff. Creating unhealthy dogs that will suffer as they get older. I had a cane corso who's bloodline was bred to produce larger specimens. He got around 185 pounds and him aging and getting sick was the most heart breaking thing I ever watched. Their legs and hearts give out. Stop breeding for size! I have not seen one positive comment on this guys videos. No respect!

To all the people who are saying this dog is unhealthy and won't live long and doesn't look right... remember the focus of this is that these are still PUPS. They're 9-10 months old and still growing, so they are walking and frolicking like puppies. As for me, I'm excited that they've bred selectively to produce these magnificent dogs similar to the ancient ones. I would love to have a couple myself and I hope all the best for this breed.

No ancient dog looked like these. Ancient molossers looked like today's Cane Corso, Presa Canario and Alano Español. These are modern freaks created in the late 20th century. They did not exist before ca the 1970s. They are mutts made from two breeds from what I can see - Neo and English mastiff. They are incredibly unhealthy breeds with a lifespan of about 6 years, and that is when breeders are in registries that force them to health test their animals. This puppy mill does not such thing, at least makes no mention of it on his website. I bet his puppies will live an average of ~4 years, and that is being generous.
