Aprille Reed Good idea if you have that option. Some Shepherds can make great apartment pets but, most do not.

I can't believe you'd recommend such a hard toy that could potentially crack the enamel of the teeth in canines!!!

Dogs are made for eating bones! I see them chip their teeth on rocks and cages, and grind them down, terribly on tennis balls. Hard toys are just fine! Actually, they are necessary for strengthening the periodontal ligament, and therefore keeping the teeth healthy.

@@FarmersMarketFido Yes, dogs who eat bones prematurely crack and shear the enamel right off the teeth and get root abscesses and bruise the periodontal ligament... The periodontal ligament can be strengthened by something firm that has a little give to it and doesn't have to be rock or steel hard or in this chief case and point " hard non malleable plastic".... Please, prove me wrong with irrefutable evidence based data. Thanks for your anticipated response.
