I have the same watch! I received it from International Harvester in 2003 as a 30 year service reward! It had the same strap as yours! I just had the fourth strap installed at the jeweller shop today. Still running well! Thanks for the video! I lost the instructions years ago! Never used the alarm!.

I have the metal bracelet divers version of this watch, not like the one you showed, but it is 100M and have a unidirectional bezel.

Great review. I have one made in 2000 that I had to piece together from 2 different watches. I see a lot for sale that don't work. Do you happen to know what makes them fail?

Thank you! I haven’t had enough of them to recognize any trends; however, I do have a lot of experience with the 7T32 movements that are Seiko, rather than Citizen/Miyota, and typically if it’s not a mechanical problem (usually from moisture intrusion), then it’s almost always a failure from the onboard integrated circuit. With multi-complication quartz movements, it’s with the IC or one of the plastic gears cracks/strips and can no longer keep time.

I’ll probably buy a few more if I can find them for cheap, and I’ll do a video if I have to repair one.

@@ToddsWatchshop Great! I'm an amateur watchmaker myself and I would love to see a detailed repair on one of these. I just repaired a Ronda 5 jewel movement and found it to be just as complex as some automatic movements.

@@j.h.daniels4802 It would be nice to see some of these hard to find replacement parts made on 3d printers. The quartz/electric are more frustrating as electronic components could be much trickier than copying say a gear.

I have the other version of the vibra alarm. I just changed the battery but noticed is jumping like showing battery low. How I can reset that?

Good info for cleaning leather straps, thank you.
@ToddsWatchshop Жыл бұрын
Yeah, it actually worked out quite well. The only problem is that you can start to take the finish off the leather if you clean it too hard. I think ideally a softer brush for cleaning the top-side of the leather would have been better.

Just got one. What does the "A" button do? Is there a manual for these? I haven't been able to find one yet.

I have one without a battery. What size dies it take? Thanks!
@ToddsWatchshop Жыл бұрын
Hi! It uses a 395 sized battery, silver oxide.
