Bultaco SOCR TSS first ride

I ride the Bultaco for the first time. The carbs still need some fine tuning, but I am happy with how it ran.

I've got a soft spot for Bultacos. When I was 16 I had a Real ISDT rep Matador, I ran it on the road and it was crazy, still had full knobbly mx tyres (screwed to the rims with self tapping screws), a silencer in name only, fiberglass tank (illegal in UK then),infact it was still wearing the racing No. plates made of some yellow rubbery stuff. Boy was that bike fun.

@@SpeedofCheeseRacing Hi unfortunately am in lockdown for 12 weeks as was given a Shield letter. Also gave my word to Nurse I will do what she asks and stay in. When this Chaos ends and i don't die would be interested. As looking for one as cheap as possible or a Rolling frame as have a few Bultaco engine's Thanks

So whats nxt for this machine...jetting gearing.suspension.track time...are the stingers an advantage over a longer pipe that finishes with silencer??

Nothing. It is sitting in Luxe Auto Spa's showroom. I have more interesting projects to do. :D I love Bultacos and wanted to build a lightweight road race bike, but I am done with it. The stinger is there it is just in the cone. There is not much to gain at the stinger with or without a silencer. It is just expelling the spent gas.
