Bulu Chronicles with Nyangazonke Tshuma, Part 1

Nyangazonke Tshuma of Bulu in Mangwe District, Zimbabwe outlines a brief history of his family and how they came about. He also gives a brief history on how he started his life, having being an apprentice to Mvelo his uncle(ubamdala) who taught him to work with his hands. I'm just saving this online for my kids and the coming generations ... thus if KZbin will still be around.

That's great history of the Bhulu Tshuma clan. This will be an eye opener to many Bhulu Tshuma descendants and their children to come. Well done Defalco! You forgot to introduce yourselves present as Defalco (black T-shirt), Underson (white shirt and cap) and Nyanga (the old man with a hat). I would like to contribute some facts that I know to be correct. Defalco Thembinkosi, is the son of Makenote Njabulo Emanuel, the son of Nyanga Rabson, the son of Mnqheza Ndode, the son of Bhulu. Anderson, is the son of Thoho (or Thogo), the son of Mnqheza Ndode. Nyanga and Thoho were brothers. Thoho or Thogo, is the Tswana name for head, because he had big forehead. Rabson Nyanga (in full Nyangazonke) the name came because of the skin colour condition (patches of white skin on the hands, neck and face) that was not fixed or healed after attending to so many (or all) nyangas (traditional healers) -- hence Nyangazonke. Mnqheza Ndode is the one who went to fight in the World War 1 (1914 - 1918) against Adolf Hitler (Germany Allies). It is believed that he fought on the British side (British Allies) because Rhodesia was under the control of the British at that time. When Ndode returned from war (around December 1918 or early 1919) he was not allowed to enter his home and meet his wife Chinungwa Mpofu whom he left newly married. He first went through the cleansing ceremony so that he did not bring death at home. Ndode's first born was a daughter, Jelimani (in memory of war against Germany) who is believed that she was born in 1920. Anyone with more information please add in the Comments.
