I like how Bumblebee is depicted as significantly weaker than Shatter, forcing him to improvise and come up brilliant (if not a little destructive) ways of taking care of foes. Like with Blitzwing, having used his own missiles against him, or in this case.

Travis knight's bumblebee is what Bee should be like, a smart reliable autobot scout.

@@Justwantedaname True, but he's much more experienced than Bumblebee, he would've knocked out Blitzwing, Dropkick, and Shatter within 30 seconds, even if he took them all on at once. Bee would've had a much harder time doing that and would've been destroyed, not to mention how much bigger Optimus Prime is compared to Bee. This gives him an advantage in combat with strength and the ability to attack the Sparks of the Decepticons much easier than Bee ever would. Not to mention the fact that Bee has done this on his own, whereas Optimus usually has an entire team to back him up, and yet it takes multiple Autobots to defeat just one Decepticon. If anything, the Autobots hold some of each other back and would be better off fighting on their own.

I also want to point out that it might be easier for Autobots to point out the Decepticons than it would for the Decepticons to point out the Autobots. Most of the vehicles the Autobots turn into are more common than the Decepticons' vehicles, and are easier to blend in which it allows the Autobots to have the element of surprise if necessary. It usually doesn't come in handy tho.

I love this version of Bumblebee. He's more like his classic depiction where he isnt as strong a fighter than most Autobots, but he can take down three Decepticons by fighting smarter. Like, you know he was thinking of ways to incapacitate both or immobilize the Decepticons as quickly and as efficiently as possinle because he cant take em both using brute strength. Reasons this is one of my favorite Transformers movie ever: A. The Cybertronians themselves are easily recognizable. B. The plot feels simple and understandable. C. The human characters are actually interesting. D. The Decepticons don't look unnecessarily monstrous and feel more human like with unique personalities. E. Blitzwing's brutal and sadistic attitude reminds us of what the Decepticons are willing to do if you get in their way. F. The fight scenes are visible and don't cut away to the humans too much, and you can see the opponents' unique behaviors through their fighting styles. G. The whole movie feels emotional. H. It has two main antagonists instead of just one. I. Dropkick's impatient and grumpy personality combined with Shatter's more intelligent and almost crueler personality makes them feel like a true deadly duo. J. The Cybertronians use their transformations in really clever ways, reminding us why they're called transformers. K. Bumblebee starting out as a noble knight, then a badly damaged soldier, then a shy child, then a daring teenager, and then an enraged demon monster makes him feel super complex.

I like how they revived the classic look of the transformers from our childhood in this movie. They also did a pretty good job on the movie overall compared the other movies which were more focused on teen viewers and followed deeper in the language and culture of the TFs. I love this movie! It's very internally consistent. At the start of the film the cybertronians are shown wielding guns- but they have built-in energon blasters. 0:17-0:37 shows that it only takes twenty seconds at most for a cybertronian to recover from a cannon shot (and hence the need for the guns in the opening sequence)

Another thing I love about Bumblebee is that the Decepticons are just memorable and have personality, sure we had Megatron, Sentinel Prime, and Lockdown but they just didn’t leave mark on me. Shatter and Dropkick are just better, they way they work off eachother is amusing to watch. Dropkick is sadistic and impatient, while Shatter is calm, patient, and skilled.

I loved this movie, the characters and personalities for each autobot and decepticon were perfection, they didnt have to have 5 second fights and the decepticons actually SURVIVED longer than the bay films, and bumblebee really fits the characteristics of the g1 bumblebee of being the little brother and uses all of his skills to fight stronger bots than him, the literal only bad thing about the movie is bumblebee not having his g1 design and his voice (most of the movie)

Oh look! A Transformers live-action movie, where the Decepticons have actual distinctive personalities,instead of being just a bunch of grey coloured mass of metal and you can actually see clearly all the action, instead of having a seizure from all the 500 quick-cuts per minute, shaky-cam and non stop explosions.
