I like to think that Meg isn't actually in some virtual reality experience and is actually just playing some game on the laptop like any normal person - but for some reason she doesn't think she can stop playing until she finds another laptop in the game. It fits her character like a glove.

The only thing worse than ToiletHead showing up in a game are the cheap knockoff ToiletHeads. Like UrinalMan in The Ring Homecoming. Western devs just don't get the subtle symbolism of The Ring: Terror's Realm.

Yeah, it was an odd choice for a sound effect for getting hurt, that much is for certain. The game doesn't help by having the monsters cling on to the front of your character the way they do.

The flashlight is one of those versimilitilitude thingies, you tell your battery is running low by the light turning from fluorescent white to incandescent yellow. ALSO the i on maps is not for decoration, if this were Silent Hill you'd see a ? or something on the rooms instead but TR:TR goes a step beyond and locates the thing of interest precisely.

You know, when you turned on that different camera mode and commented how it became a third person shooter, it started reminding me of resident evil 4, it even had a laser pointer! Then I thought for a second, "hang on, when did this game come out again?". So I looked it up and turns out terror's realm was released a whole 5 years before RE:4! So this game is actually the first ever to feature the behind the character third person camera that everyone thinks RE:4 invented! It's not quite over the shoulder, but it's pretty damn close. Remark on the hidden glimpse of genius and innovation hidden within what to the casual observer may seem a shitty licensed horror game. Truly this game was ahead of its time!

Hey, ever thought of playing a PC Point-and-Click game called The Lost Crown: A Ghost-Hunting Adventure? I basically view it as the Deadly Premonition of Adventure games. It was made by one man, who also did the voice acting for the lead along with some friends voice the rest of the cast. So the acting is awkward and goofy, along with the dialog, the game has bad 3D Models and such, but the story is very interesting, the characters and setting are memorable, and the game has a pretty solid Horror Atmosphere.

I actually really like The Lost Crown; while it's not very good on a technical level, the art-style and atmosphere are fantastic! It's a solid indie adventure-horror game, imo.
