We had a training in Watoto church under a men’s group called men of valor and one thing we learned was the root cause is when men don’t take responsibility. Just like Adam didn’t lookout for Eve when she ate the fruit or when he failed to acknowledge his role when God asked him what happened and he was quick to point fingers at Eve. My submission is that as men we ought to take responsibility for what is happening, then can we have a sustainable wholistic approach that will bring healing in our community. Finally as we walk in Jesus’ footsteps, we ought to lead by loving and serving one another, unlike the world system where everyone wants to be on top.

“It takes a lot of guts for a man to come back home.” But my why come home when you’re not happy. And that’s not me saying this lightly. I grew up with two parent and my dad loved coming home. Kyamagelo this self importance is appalling. Funny how you side stepped the fact that the partner in question works. If you’re the alpha and she has to do her deligence does it mean she doesn’t have to contribute towards the bills? Contrary to you thought Kyamagelo, I want to take this opportunity to send shouts out to my dad, He always came home early to play with us his kids. He LOVED cooking and feeding people. My Mom did too. He would contributed towards house chores all the while taking his place as the unmistaken ALPHA in his home. My Dad loved the ground his wife walked on and thus showed all my brothers that you did have to be misogynistic to be an Alpha.

The scenario Kyamagero shared, where a woman asks her husband for permission on Wednesday to attend a wedding on Saturday, and he agrees but then drives her in a completely different direction on the day because she asked 'late'-three days in advance-constitutes emotional abuse.

Clip 30:48- Andrew said “It takes a lot of guts for a man to decide everyday to come back to you” …. This statement is loaded. I can not even imagine why men like Andrew think this kind of perception and mindset is ok. Does this man have a daughter??? SMH. I have a lot to say but let me restrain myself on this issue. Andrew stooooooooop stooooooop bashing single moms. I was raised well by a single mom- (orphaned). I am a sole parent raising a daughter (she is an orphan). She is going to be a great human being. Toxic parenting that causes childhood traumas is not synonymous with single parenting. I worry that for as long as men do not own up to their contribution to broken homes, it will continue. Women CANNOT be better alone. Also, we need to stay away from examples and miss the principle. Simple minds hold onto examples and miss the principle. Massaging feet is simply an example of care-giving. Women can show care in innumerable ways. Men, provide.

Bev was the only one who held these two men accountable & tried to call them out when they used excuses to blame women for poor behaviors displayed by certain men. Their way of thinking was super archaic & they still believe that the woman place is still in the kitchen in 21st century. Bev held fire under their feet sometimes. Barbara pretty much checked out & didn't challenge them. Manuella didn't show up today & played a passive role. I understand that they're guests on the show but the 3 hostesses should always try to have control of the discussion. Bev definitely did her part & tried more than enough to be respectful while defending her viewpoints.

Beverley thanks for standing up for women today. I think men are lost today and the guests were proof of this. Men are not ready to acknowledge that tables have turned and they have to adapt to the reality of the day. Women have adapted, they are providing in homes while still doing wifely duties while men are also providing but not realising they have to meet the women halfway. I say men are going to continue being disillusioned until they wake up to the facts of the day. I also agree with Mr. Kuteesa that we need to stop coddling men...it's why we have so many losers and drunks in our society.

That’s all nice and well but truthfully the world is hard on women ie; professions, religions, society, family and this is exactly the topic of discussion bse men are not held accountable for the things they do while women are held on high standards even lack of children now if my husband is this shallow not to understand that it’s hard for women than men, then I don’t want him. Have you heard of a saying that men love bitches? Men actually love women who love themselves more bse they challenge them to a higher standard same as gold diggers. Men are just trained not to talk abt their emotions bse they don’t want to show weakness but there are so many avenues for them to address their issues/emotions just like it was years ago. Some men today as you claim have no venues to address their emotions is bse they were abandoned from childhood they broken homes and the genesis of the probably started way back from his great grand father and no matter what you the wife today can do 4 this man, it will never be enough until his address the original sin.

Personally I feel that for the bigger part of this conversation the men were making excuses and giving justifications for their behavior blaming everything on the women.. They blamed women for being the cause of men leaving their homes.. which is not entirely true, because some women do all that is required and the men still leave Then they spoke about the women not bringing father figures after the men have left the marriages.. and there I still see an element of lack of responsibility.. because yes the marriage has ended, but what happened to co- parenting.. the father can still be present in the children's lives and the woman doesn't have to get blamed for not bringing a father figure.

Women submits to love, when u love your woman you can't fail to treat her right and once you treat her right she can never fail to respect you. You just don't expect kingship treatment yet to serve a commoners behavior. Just because you were taught to be a man doesn't mean you should be mannerless. And before you blame those single mothers for not being able to give their children there father figure upbringing,I think you should blame those men that left and never thought of their children's no matter the circumstances. Otherwise let's all opt to be better parents,if we fail as lovers or partners at least let's not fail as parents coz at the end of the day it's us that brought these children to this world and whatever happens between us shouldn't be their burdens to Carry,so we are both accountable for their future. There is one question I ask people all the time, so "outside of culture and religion " if you're asked to describe what kind of person you are . What a heated conversation .. Thanking for hosting the gentlemen, most men would rather defend than accept when they are wrong right from generations before. Back then our mothers stayed but in this era i think things are a little bit different and we all aught to better. To save marriages and relationships takes God but also a little more understanding (work) other wise we are so many single adults today. I know of a grown up man who told me something that blew my mind he said "this issue of women thinking they should be taken care of.... we are not their fathers" and he lives by it and that comes with so many other toxic behaviors.# toxic men exist

I struggled watching this episode because the men who were chosen are as toxic as a topic. Lets accept that there are men who are bad regardless of the environment at home. Not all men are responsible and its dangerous that men like these are given airtime to talk to communities. This is only going to perpecuate the situations that are already happening in the communities. We all go through alot but being emotionally, financially and physically present is also a choice that men have to take on.

You seem to be someone to whom winning an argument is very important. In your view, WINNING IS MOST IMPORTANT. Bear in mind and never forget that the moment you take the discussion into swearing and insults, YOU HAVE LOST THE ARGUMENT. Be sure that you have an understanding of the topic of discussion to present a credible point of view. Be sure to listen to the other point of view and honestly consider the merits of this opposing opinion. If, in being honest with yourself, the other opinion makes more sense, admit it. Congratulations! You just learned something by listening and considering another side of the argument. Sometimes someone will say something very stupid and will not listen to anything else. For example: “The Earth is flat, I know this, and you cannot change my mind.”

This episode will definitely get bumplove more eyeballs, but will attract a completely different audience than most loyal viewers. Nze nga nze this will be the last one I watch. I can’t continue to subscribe to a show “for women” that provides a platform to views like this, and does not challenge them. Would have been good to have another man providing some rebuttals to what was spewed here, or atleast the co-hosts not laughing through most of it. It’s a serious conversation with potential ramifications like normalizing emotional abuse of women, but the opinions were just left to air. Maybe that’s the new audience Bump Love wants and it might be an even bigger one. I wish them the best but this direction is not it! Thanks!

This episode has me triggered on all levels!!!!! Ahhhh🤨🤨🤨🤨 these men refuse to take responsibility of the their roles in how men and women turn out in adulthood. They are busy stereotyping women that were raised by single moms. What about men that were raised by single moms. Both of them are saying they didn’t get attention and affection from their fathers. That is not okay. They need therapy. There’s a lot from their childhood that needs to be addressed. “A man love towards his son is actually to detach.” Now that’s toxic. Boys growing up without love from their fathers has created men like these. No no. Unacceptable. Women were not created to follow. Society has made it that way. That doesn’t make it okay. You men need to know better and do better. And why is the lady is yellow quiet? Honestly it’s giving “Pick me. I am not like other girls.” 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️

Hello ladies, thanks for the good work. Am a big fan. Well, here's my view: I recommend Miss. Bev for representing us (women) so well. I picked out a few important points from both sides, however, I kinda felt disappointed by some submissions from men- they were ego-centric. Even not letting Bev speak her mind was toxic enough. Leave alone how Mr. Kuteesa kept on addressing her as "mwe abolozungu"..... what was that supposed to mean?! The men refusing to take responsibility broke my soul. Miss. 41:55 It seems to me that these two men believe in tough love as the only way to bring up a male child. Which got me thinking, this tough love leads to a traumatized grown up man, who is not in touch with his emotions, doesn’t know how to treat others any better and even worse ends up being abusive to women. I see how this belief in a male child upbringing could be the lead cause of toxic masculinity.
