None of these new artist from Houston are in the same league as Paul Wall, Mike Jones,Lil Flip, Bun B, Slim Thug, Lil Keke, Zro, Devin da dude, Trae and Scarface. The OGs are known world wide and have major hits nobody Sauce name has 1 major hit. Houston has an entire generation of below average rappers that fill everything should be handed to them.

Keepin' it a buck, OG's ain't tryin' to have an event with young folks who may start shootin', fighting, being disrespectful. None of that. Why do you think most black clubs nationwide either close at 2pm, have strict dress codes and age requirements to enter, or close down after multiple incidences involving black youth?? Grown folks tryin' to come out and enjoy themselves with no drama. Haven't you notice most events are catered to blacks 30 and up, not 21 and under?? That's not by accident.

It was the homegrown culture from the families from Houston and surrounding areas, South TX, East TX, and other parts of the south that put Houston on the map, Houston has long been the face of Texas culture. Today's Houston has much more of diverse urban population, many of whom have no families ties to TX nor the south. Today a lot of the music coming from Houston's younger generation is more violent and more rachet polar opposite from the slab culture music. And you literally didn't even have to be a sipper to enjoy the slab culture; stories were told, and boys were celebrating the grind, keeping it playa while doing so and having things in the process --- out of towners were able to fall in love with Houston via its culture because the vibe of the city brought the music to life -- it's authentic and still has that effect. Houston is the one city in the south that not even NYC could shit on.

1. The only race of people in Houston complaining is us 2. It’s called the Rodeo meaning it should really just be country music and black night should be black country music. 3. Hip hop just really got accepted to the rodeo around late90’s-2000 it use to be R&B.4. Travis Scot Is a no no did we forget about what happened with his astroworld which was on the same lot as the rodeo lol. 5. Summer jam birthday bash are ran out on by urban radio stations that play hip hop not country. 6. Do you see country music at summer jam or birthday bash etc …NO. 7. The old H’s had to wait years damn near decades to ever do the rodeo we just got in the door like the superbowl lol. 8. This is a family night so we don’t need no violence weed smell fights etc. 9. Ticket sales matter rember the rodeo raises money dummy. 10. Do your own show that way you have power and control. 11. The people in these committees probably grown up to party to the og legends and want them there. 12. In 2025 less complaining and more action. 13 ladies and gentlemen New York Atlanta Memphis etc don’t get along either they have same type of problems so it’s not just a Houston thing.

Like you said, it’s a good convo to get started. I think Bun got love for the city and the artists, but the focus for so long has been giving the older H Town artist their flowers. The game looked over a lot of our vets, but it got to the point where they so tunnel visioned about boys getting they due, they weren’t paying attention to new talent. They didn’t cultivate it, integrate, or honor the new music. Sauce ain’t lying. And I’m a nigga from the UGK era. I just seen it all take place.

I'ts Og's In Houston Like Mr. Mike from Suavehouse that's accesible & reachable that none of them reach out to he do his own thang & get with the yungstaz - if you ask TRE/ZRO/SLIM THUG/ETC Mr Mike Influenced all dem boyz musically & you never here them say his name.. Mr. Mike was reppin Texas during his Suavehouse days. 8Ball&MJG was from memphis on a Texas Label Suavehouse. Prime example of what Sauce is talmbot

Sauce got that Pimp C spirit running in his veins. Let's bridge the real one's together and get this money but at the same time not afraid to bite my tongue on certain situations or people. You need people like him to be the voice for the "voiceless".

Real Talk, the Rodeo ain't really "Our" event. It's a great event tho and I'm glad that Bun B still has a night to represent. However, why Sauce ain't talking the "For The City" concert event this week (Which is "Our" event like Summer Jam). See y'all at both events!!! 💯🔥🔥🤘🏾#Htown
