Sassanian cafe owner was so unhappy with the current situation, parsi's are the most peaceful people, they're fun and had given us our very fav Mawa cake, please help them stay. Only a true Mumbaikar will understand their feelings. Share this video.

These Irani cafes are just more than a restaurant....I was a frequent visitor of Yazdani during my Bombay days and boy the conversation I used to have with the owner was out of this world... Kayani & Co irani cafe mumbai honest review... Let me tell you guys..this is one of the worst cafes running in mumbai by their" Old time's name" 1) Food is very average.Nothing special in taste. 2)Waiters are disinterested.even they are not ready to take the order. 3) they have list of rules like they are paying us for eating 4) Hand wash area and surrounding is very unhygienic.over all the cafe looks very dirty( even not painted) 5) they only accept cash..not even card. 6) serving food in disposable plate. 7)The manager is very rude and they are not customer friendly. I really regret about the visit to this cafe.it really hurts when people behave rudely. Disheartened.very pathetic experience. You can see the same experiences in google review ..thank you..guys

These little cafes and bakeries should try and thrive and it is really upto the present generation to pick them over the modern franchises. It's in these little cafes and shops that you find the most authentic, man made delicacies that also define a region and it's people. Same goes with Kolkata (if you ever plan to make a similar video there). There are numerous age old ''Mishthanna Bhandar'' that make traditional sweets and savouries like no one else. We as a generation should pass on few things to our kids, like the habit of going all the way to these shops and buying from them..we should instill the taste and sentiments in our future generation! Thanks for this video!

Great Video, The stores / shops / cafe , must be considered as NATIONAL HERITAGE both from Parsi / Iranian and Indian . I think they should contact the government to assist them with economic help to run they business if they have hard time to survive . I STRONGLY ENCOURAGE them to Visit Iranian embassy and ask for economic help and maybe they can get help to promote their business , by shining light over their business for Iranian and other tourists to come and visit them Pleas try and visit the embassy of Iran and ask them IF they can help . I knew in the late shah of Iran those shops could get help. I wish all of you good health and happiness from the Bottom of my hearth cheers

I don't mean to offend anyone with this long comment. I apologize in earnest before hand. Irani tradition has been a promising gem to India. They brought so much to us and we are forever indebted. Their cuisine, the elitism, the class etiquette. They were also one of the most educated class of the country and its heartbreaking to witness the decline. I understand they want to preserve their authenticity but even when the restaurant was built, the original owners must have tried to decorate it in the newest fashion. If only they would renovate a little, may be the crowd would flock in. Soda bottle opener wala is a great example and though I have never been to britania, I can tell britannia will exceed sodabottle.
