Faulty dump valve on his right shoulder. Could've been avoided by fully inflating the BCD at the surface and checking them. Also the pre-dive buddy check includes checking dumping valves...
@trikker16 жыл бұрын
The low pressure hose IS attached to his BCD. It is an Aqualung BCD with i3 Control System, that is why he is fiddeling on his left hip from time to time, where the system is located. The hose in front is for oral inflation. At 13:48, you can see air passing out of his right shoulder outlet valve, witch probably i faulty, since the air passes out without the pressure being too high. Bad diving behaviour, control and so on, yes, but I'm sure his hose is attached, so it's most likely an equipment defect.....

You not gunna inflate your BC when the inflator hose is fucking floating around 😂😂😂😂😂
@gatesofvalhalla8136 Жыл бұрын
First of all you should be properly weighted which means you only need to be slightly negative with ~50 bar in the tank at 5m (when wearing a neoprene suit). So you are at most slightly negative during the dive if your inflator hose fails. Easy to swim up and the gas still in the bcd will expand and guess what, you will be positively bouyant again. Another thing is that one of the skills you do (also in PADI OWD course) is getting neutral by inflating your bcd orally. Very easy to exhale one more time in the exflator hose after that to become positive. Really a non issue if your powerinflator fails and you are properly weighted. Would I abort the dive if this happens? No. Would I feel uncomfortable with a non functioning powerinflator? No.

You don't even need a BCD to dive, it just makes it easier. Old school divers would use a lead weight belt with straps holding the tank to their back.

These guys are horrible. I'm somewhat surprised there tanks lasted 14-1/2 minutes to make the video. They're blowing through air like they're in a hyperventilating competition, and don't even know the basics. You don't need a bcd, especially when properly weighted. Basic open water shows you how to dump weights in an emergency, and average swimmers can ascend faster than is safe, even if overweight. Tried to watch the whole video, but couldn't bear to continue after 10 mins
