Hey Kevy, thanks for trying our stuff. Happy to clarify anything of you have questions. I quite agree with you, I think most of us a three piece or TTO that just makes you wonder what there are so many options out there! The name of the soap basically describes the season and the location where oranges are grown in South Africa, 'Orange harvesting season in the Lowveld' would be a direct translation. My grandmother had a farm near a small town called Marble Hall, this soap takes me there! Enjoy.

@@RichardE62 To be quite honest we had no part in it apart from being the supplier, all thanks should go to the owner of the channel and a customer of ours who took it upon himself to get it out there. We hope you get to try, and more importantly enjoy some of our products soon enough.

Hi Kevy. Please try Edwin Jagger Chatsworth chrome version. It's really beautiful. It has two features. The razor never gets overtightened and no soap goes onto baseplate. I am surprised by its beauty and efficacy. Have a good winter.

Pittsburgh PA 11 F. Maybe try binning the blade after 3 to avoid weepers. Thats my rule at least. DE89 - hated it when I first tried it. Thought it was too mild. Revisited it after a couple years and love it as a mild shave with a Nacet. It booted the 37c out my den. Nice soap and label. Stay warm buddy.

Our shaving group bought soaps from Bundubeard over a year ago. They are really great! And the cost is really low. I think i paid around 12-15 euro per soap but shipping was almost 50%! Great to see them worldwide now!

Can I asked where you purchased it? I saw Sinatra Lennon shaving with one of their products and he was raving about the scent of one of their soaps. UK or even North America? Thank you.

@@rolandomontenegro4130 I ordered it from the website of Bundubeard. They don't send out of Africa normally. But we talked to him and had a group order with lots of soaps.

I've used a lot of razors like Alpha Outlaw, gc .68 and .84, Lupo 72 and 95, Karve b plate, Barbaros tr-3, ej 3one6, 34c and 37c, merkur progress, mühle rocca etc. Edwin Jagger De89 is my all-time favorite razor. It is mild but it stands at the upper limit of mildness. It is cheap, has no blade alignment problem. Comfortable and gives clean shaves. Has perfect chrome plating.

Hi, Kevy. Great shave. I believe "breaking the skin" refers to the smell you get when you start peeling an orange. In Afrikaans it's a bit counter-intuitive, but oranges are referred to as lemons (lemoene) and actual lemons are referred to as sour lemons (suurlemoene). Yet, the House of Orange is still referred to as Die Huis van Oranje. 🤔

We can try and find if a preshave oil clogs the razor. Maybe most shavers do not use a small enough quantity in preparation for a shave.

Great shave. It’s still bitterly cold here in Chicago, but the temps are supposed to go back to normal in a few days. Tiki Bar soaps are unfortunately discontinued, which is a shame. I wish they were still being made. Have a good one!

hi kevy, love your videos and your humor. i recently purchased the yaqi ghost (stainless steel) razor head (0.70mm) and very pleased with it. i've seen your review of the titanium version of the yaqi ghost, could you please tell me how does it compare to Edwin Jagger DE89? and which razor do you prefer?
@kevyshaves41099 ай бұрын
The Titanium is lighter in weight but shaves just as well. To me, the titanium ghost gives a smoother shave than the DE89. Cheers. Kevy 😀

Hi Kevin, what would be the level of aggressiveness compared to an adjustable razor?
@kevyshaves41099 ай бұрын
I would say it's the equivalent of around a 3 or 4 on a Rockwell 6S. Cheers. Kevy 😀
