Bundutop Tough Touring Awning Brackets

Up for review today is the Bundutop Electric roof top tent Tough Touring awning mounting brackets available from Tough Touring, manufactured in Melbourne VIC.
Tough Touring manufactures bracket kits to fit pole less awnings directly to hard-shell rooftop tents. Pole less Awnings or 270 degree swing-out awnings exert an immense load on the rear pivot point of the mount.
Tough Touring manufactures brackets that will provide a stiff rigid mount point for pole less awnings by manufacturers such as Ostrich, Darche, 30 Second, Quick Pitch, Bundutec, Howling Moon, Alu-Cab, Rhino Bat Wing, Supa Peg and many others.

Phil I find your videos very informative so thank you. I'm looking at these tough touring awning mounts and I will be mounting them to a platform rack. Can you please let me know what the thickness of the steel is of these brackets just so I can make sure I have enough clearance between my tent and platform rack.

Would it be ok to ask the length or width of the bracket that mounts to the awning. There's nothing on dimensions on the brackets. Again I'm trying to work out what brackets to order. And I'm trying to keep it close as possible

@Reg Kershaw there should only be the one set of tough touring brackets for the bundutop. There is an optional bracket that's mainly a spacer that you might need. All depends on which awning you plan to attach. If using a ostrichwing awning, No additional bracket/spacer is required.

@@regkershaw the reason for the optional bracket/spacer is so the awning does not hit the lip on the bottom edge of the top part of the bundutop The lip along the bottom of the top section on the bundutop flairs out a bit. So the awning must clear that.

Is it compatible with the Supa Peg 270 square back awning that Drifta sell?

I can't see why not, you will need the spacer. Best to contact Tough Touring to find out for sure.
