I used the 1 inch one, the outer layer is thick enough to cover the tape. If the outer layer is thin, I suggest You use oil glue for a neater finish.

You're welcome;), Foam that can asorb glue, I usually use a yellow polyether type foam with a thickness of about 2 cm.

it is possible, as long as the glue application is thin and even, and yes you can use a wallsticker to coat the box as an alternative.

In this video I used wood glue, the paper is fancy paper. the thicker the cardboard, the better the result. if you want to coat it with cloth you can, but the glue is different, the glue used is oil-based glue.
