I know this was 4 years ago, but this really describes Dazai so well, no one really understood him, except for Oda, but even him, he didn’t know everything about Dazai, and he was Dazai’s only friend, apart from Ango, but Oda was closer to him, so, his death really must have done a lot of damage to Dazai. Dazai joined the agency because of Oda, the series stated that he doesn’t care whether it’s good or bad, but he listened to Oda and joined the agency, if it weren’t for him he would still be in the mafia, but Dazai in the movie said "Being on the good side is better" or something between these lines. Dazai really values his friends in the agency, so, he will do anything to help them, I don’t think he would betray them, but at the same time I wouldn’t be surprised if he did, this personality of his is what makes me love him so much, it’s kinda complicated, but it’s also really simple, just a guy that will help his friends, what makes it complicated is when his past in the mafia was shown, he the opposite of what he is, and sometimes he gets really serious, which is what made some people doubt/hate him, and it’s what makes me feel like he wouldn’t betray the ADA, it’s also the reason why I wouldn’t be surprised if he does betray them. This was just me ranting about Dazai, probably doesn’t make sense and got off topic way too much, but eh :) have a cookie🍪 Edit: I just realized how long this is XD

Ok so I know this is supposed be really sad but when I heard the first two lines I instantly though "Oh the meme song of course it would be in a Dazai tribute" and I laughed my ass of at the thought of Dazai just blaring this at the agency until someone tells him to fuck off. Seriously though you did a really good job on this and the black at white filter-thingie added to it a lot, keep up the great work :)

I don't mean to be rude but I want to point out that in this AMV Dazai-sama looks so cool and so sad and so serious(cause of the black-and-white filter) but in the anime and manga he's just a lovable dork who likes suicide(albeit a sad one but still lovable). He is not necessarily the happy-go-lucky person how he makes others believe he is. Have you read/ (seen the first 4 episodes of Aoi Bungakou) No longer human, the most well-known work of the author Osamu Dazai, the one his character is based on? There is a part where the character states that he feels like a ghost, who cannot connect to other people, and he doesn't feel normal, or like the others (no longer human), so he always act funny, and makes others laugh, because that's the only way he feels connected. This might be the case for Dazai too (the character and the author as well). This is somewhat strenghtened in the second season, when SPOILER Odasaku is dying, and says this line "Nothing in this world can fill that lonely hole you have"

Actually, that's not true. If you saw the beginning of Season 2 (Episode 13-16), you actually learn that his backstory is very, very sad. I don't want to spoil it for anyone but...I think deep down he really must be broken-hearted...
