i never really paid close attention to when happened in the ed, but now that i actually saw it it was pretty deep. at 0:50 it showed akutagawa trying to reach out to dazai's bandages, meaning that he tried to get dazai to acknowledge him, but the bandage slipped through his fingers. then it shows akutagawa seeing atsushi catching the bandage at 1:15, showing that dazai instead acknowledged atsushi instead. but at 1:20 dazai's hands reached akutagawa meaning that he noticed him, just like he did at the end of season two. this is some deep shit omg

And seeing the translations makes it even more painful. In the dazai part in the beginning the translations are: the words you gave me are stored in a corner inside of me. Even now, they're carefully locked away, always within my chest. Whenever i think about them, they repeat inside my heart adding to my strength in turn" and it could be about Oda hence "the words you gave me" when he died and in the other lyrics too it matches with Atsushi and Akutagawa

I love how Dazai's bandages, representing his acknowledgement and attention, almost reach Akutagawa but then slip from his hand. And then when Atsushi is all alone facing his monsters it falls into his hold and stays. It shows Aku and Atsushi's relation with Dazai perfectly

I feel like since he has it in his hands and we kno the story. It did in fact which akutagawa it’s just that dazai left to the agency so now he’s by the were tiger thus akutagawas wrath. So the were tiger has whatever the bandage means whether it’s dazai or his acknowledgement of presence. But then u see dazai hand on akutagawa which prob symbolizes even tho I left the bandage blowing in the wind I still acknowledge and think about u. But it seems akutagawa makes a face of pain and anger and doesn’t understand this gesture as dazai never just flat out told him

This ending revolves around the three of them, Dazai, Atsushi, Akutugawa. But I also feel like Dazai is having literally the most importance in BSD, not because he is popular or something but he is related in literally every part of it... And I have my respect for Dazai cause he is kinda life saver for both Akutugawa and Atsushi... Sometimes I can't help but feel sad for Dazai cause sometimes he says something deep. In BSD Wan Dazai replied zero starts to a physiological question and how would he like to die from earth...

The best summer I ever had was the one when I watched BSD with my brother. He'd usually skip the outro, but usually we'd still hear the first maybe twenty seconds. This one stuck with me for some reason, and after years I decided to look for the song and finally found it here. All the memories of that summer came back instantly.
