Bunkai: Wanshu, Palm Heel sequence
This is an interpretation of the sequence in Wanshu that ends with the lateral palm heel strike.
This is unique in our kata.
You are in close contact with the opponent and cannot use front or cross strikes with hands, feet, elbows or knees.
Defend a chudan attack with your left. This could be against a punch, grab or other attack.
The opponent kicks. You step in and drop to defend the gedan attack.
You close the distance, stepping in,
Launching a knee to the groin, and
Simultaneously a ridge hand or back hand to his neck, or to the Triple Warmer 17 area below the ear lobe at the mandibular angle.
