That was a great video listening to two highly intelligent and talented women questioning and answering a number of garden and related questions in that rapid and thoughtful way that we have come to expect from Bunny and Sarah. Next summer I would love to visit Sarah’s garden in Kent (my birth county). I loved the respect each has for the other and the thoughtful pauses in the conversational flow. Evie.

I admire so much that Sarah Raven is totally organic in her gardening practices using homemade compost and a lot of cow manure to control weeds!

Really enjoyed this interview. Thanks. Really appreciated the breadth & depth of questions and answers from how personal relationships feed into gardens, to ground conditions of the land. Sarah has an intimate understanding of her garden and landscape which was fascinating to hear

Great interview. Regarding box caterpillar- my cousin in Germany ‘trained’ her sparrows to eat them. They originally ignored them, but by mixing some caterpillars with mealworms she got them to realise the caterpillars are edible, and her sparrow population has been increasing and getting fat ever since…

@xyzllii The box caterpillars turn into box moths and can destroy the whole plant, eating the leaves and even the bark. The box moths are considered invasive pests. ☹️

Wonderful discussion, thanks for sharing! Sarah Raven has unfortunately stopped posting videos, she is difficult to find in Europe.

She has been doing a weekly podcast for several years, covering lots of different subjects. You can find the link at the bottom of her web page. Its easy listening, if you want to do something else at the same time.

How do you guys afford these massive properties? Are we going to call it "hard word" too just for fun?
@zoewhite7705 Жыл бұрын
Well they're both pretty successful people aren't they so it's not a huge surprise - and this property is Sarah's business as well as her home. Anyway, what an odd question to ask. You don't go up to people in real life and quiz them on how they afford their home or car or holiday.

@@leopaddy3535 Obnoxious! Just because she makes a comment you don’t agree with. How intolerant. You’d fit in well in the People’s Republic of China - a nice authoritarian state.
