Vanlife Adventure Day | Walking Through History At Fort Granger
Today we are taking a vanlife adventure day over to Fort Granger where we learn about Franklin, TN and their history within the civil war. It was here that many served behind the walls of the fort including men of many racial backgrounds. Come learn with me today at this smaller park.

Bunny, You bring history alive in a way no history teacher I had ever had did. Your word pictures give a visual and auditory view of the events making it so real and alive in the moment. You would make an amazing history teacher. Thank you so very much for this video.

Thank you so much!!!! I always like to bring to life stories for everyone so we can all see the value in learning from these things and seeing how we can only move forward toward better if we acknowledge sometimes they atrocities around us.

I appreciate that you share these pieces of history, but you also differentiate that throughout time things have changed. I think that you tackle history in a very respectful way and in doing so we’re able to learn together, but also realize the error of the past.

Thank you so much!! I always enjoy sharing the locations I visit and bringing them to life for those unable to visit. We take tours throughout the country to piece together all the bigger pictures and through that I hope everyone can see the value of the brain wrinkles. I will tell another Franklin story later this week with one of the facts that I had never heard until visiting.

From the comments, I’m reading lots of people are saying that they enjoy your history and I would have to agree. I started watching your channel because of the things you do in Branson. But I’ve grown fond of seeing the history on your channel in places that I may have visited and not known as much about.you’ve introduced me to places I haven’t been that I would like to try to visit.

I really wish that you were my kids history teacher. Both of them don’t really enjoy that part of school. But we have sat down as a family numerous time and watched your videos because they find you interesting. I feel like if more teachers took the approach that you do that kids might be more excited about learning. I know hands-on going to places isn’t something attainable for all of them, but I wish more schools would focus on this kind of education because I’ve never seen my kids sit through so much history and be excited about it as they do whenever they watch your videos.

Oh wow.. thank you so much!! I am so happy they are enjoying the videos!!! That is always my goal is to show people the history which is around us everywhere but also to inspire us all to learn together.... Being able to bring interest to this subject for them is exactly why I share the way I do... history can be overwhelming but making it relatable is always my focus because we all can learn by the proper framing!!

Thank you so much! Every so often someone will stumble upon one of my videos where I speak about history and not like the realistic things that happened or don’t want to hear truly what I am saying. In those instances, they typically will say some thing and because of that I have put in certain comment filters to pick up on those things to keep people from feeling uncomfortable who actually do enjoy the comments. as you can imagine throughout time and history, seeing the good and bad exposes a lot of wounds and also hard feelings as people lack awareness or want to not here reality. And as I said on my channel, we cannot make it better tomorrow if we don’t learn from what has happened. That exposes the ugly sometimes as a person who wants to do everything that I can to try to do my part to make a better tomorrow unfortunately, sometimes those hard subjects are important for us to learn about

I always enjoy seeing what you are up to when I saw you mentioned that you were stopping at this place and the other one I was interested to find out what you had to say. The way you tackle sensitive issues to be very intriguing as well as relatable. I always feel bad because I feel like I speak in the wrong context because I am considered old by my kids, but the way that you bridge the gap between younger generations and then myself is fabulous, thank you for not being afraid to talk about the hard topics.
@BunnyPlaysHere
@BunnyPlaysHere 14 күн бұрын
Thank you so much for coming along for today's history walk!! Tackling hard topics is something I have found to be important because so often the little things we learn from place to place tell the things we never were taught that expose both the good and bad that happened during this time with the best and worst of humanity. Discussing these things helps us to realize the wrongs to make sure we never follow those paths again.

There are so many great ones in this region which allow you to glance through time and understand what was happening a bit more.... glad to be able to share some of them!! Make sure you check out later this week my tour of Eastern Flank Battlefield Park, the story goes along with this one and also reveals some astounding things which I had never heard in history until that site

@BunnyPlaysHere
@BunnyPlaysHere 12 күн бұрын
That is exactly why I share these kinds of things. A lot of times whenever we are in school unless we are going to continued education in college for history, we do not learn these things. Sometimes getting out there and seeing things in a hands-on way is extremely useful because we can learn about the world around us in a much more authentic, unbiased way. These sites just tell the facts and then we can learn from those facts what exactly happened

Don’t you wonder what issue today would be polarizing enough to start another civil war? Or even worse, is there nothing we would be willing to fight for?
@BunnyPlaysHere
@BunnyPlaysHere 14 күн бұрын
Civil war in todays world would be even more brutal and ugly. I think even if there are things people have conviction to fight for they need not go down that path as it would result in terrible things happening that would be far outreaching for everyone resulting in total devastation.
