If they have pitchers of mead on the table, you can guarantee a riotous revel. My family and I were HAMMERED by the time we finished our feast and then had to cross the highway to get to our hotel. I'm amazed we survived. We spent two weeks in Ireland, and that first night was easily one of the BEST. Thank you, Bunratty Castle!

My wife and I honeymooned in Ireland, and visited the Bunratty castle and attended the medieval banquet. We loved hearing the performers play and sing, take in the company of our fellow diners, and enjoy the tasty treats with our Medieval utensil, as well as learn the origins of mead and the term "honeymoon". I purchased the booklet, CD and a bottle of mead to take with us back home. What an absolute treat! It was wonderful experience, one that we will always remember, and look forward to visiting Ireland and the Bunratty castle again someday. Thank you Shannon Heritage!

So, did you know that castles ppl only eat with hands and knights train young and a knight’s helmet is about 60 pounds and some castles has moats, a moat is a river that is like a circle around the castle and a moat is very deep and some castle has a bridge, if your the knight you can cross it but is your the enemy the guards pull the rope so the enemy does not cross the bridge.
