"I was only climbing with 2/3 throttle!" he said. Exactly that is the problem. On full throttle the Mosfets dont have to switch that much as on 2/3, so they will become hotter on 2/3 throttle. Anyways, nice bird and I hope it will flight again soon.

The FETs are either full on, or full off in a pwm system, the load ( below the rated current ) has little effect

You could. Hear the mosfets chiming on that last run.Definitely something wrong and that was mosfet's popping at the end

I assume, the prop pitch is very high to allow these high speeds, so in slow flight it will not work well or even stall.

Es ist unfassbar...welche Energie die heutigen Antriebe abgeben können...aber man ist immer an der Grenze von allen Antriebskomponenten. Das ist der Grund...warum ich lieber DS fliege...da fängt zumindest nix an zu brennen...😂

Perche' lanciate questi modelli da fermo , e' bruttissimo vederli in evidente assetto di stallo , salvarsi solo grazie alla spinta del motore....basterebbe correre un po' e dare il giusta slancio con il braccio...non e' difficile ! My goodness ... what is the approx power of this thing? Anyway great plane! Wanna go even faster? You're flying at very low lift coeff, meaning that the plane is much faster than best glide speed. So, if you cut down the wing to about half the span, drag will be reduced at high speeds.

An ESAC for such a plane should have a Mosfet temperature telemetry sensor! Avian ESC (Spektrum) have such sensors!

CO² Feuerlöscher haben auch eine kühlende Wirkung als neben Effekt , echt schade um das Modell aber immerhin kein total verlußt und ganz wichtig niemand ist zu Schaden gekommen

Sind in der Regel mit Epoxidharz getränkt. Nach der Aushärtung gibt es eine sog. Glasübergangstemperatur. Das ist ein Temperaturbereich der das gehärtete Material je nach Geschwindigkeit der Energiezufuhr gummiartig werden lässt. Bei Standardharzen im Bereich zw. 60-100°C.

You could hear something was wrong, maybe it lost a bearing. These motors don't look capable of what they're doing, they're only 500kv?? He must be using a super aggressive prop which stresses the esc and motor a lot, I wish I knew what kind.
