I will always love watching anything Harry does. I was hooked from the minute I saw him doing a few minutes on some show or other in his early days, and he came out with the classic joke - "My mother was a stoic woman.. Gave birth to me at the hospital in the morning. She was back at work in the afternoon.." "Mind.. I'm sure than in hindsight, even she would admit it was a mistake cycling home from the hospital.."

It's like he's taking the piss out of 'observational comedy' in six different ways simultaneously 🤣 but somehow he manages to do it with complete warmth, and a dedication to bending the audiences minds until they're all on his bonkers wavelegnth! - Rarely before has such an intelligent man had *such* an unwavering dedication to all-out complete silliness! 💖 it's quite an extreme and strange act at first impression, but once you start to vibe with what he's up to up there, you can't help but love the guy for it!

This was the first Harry Hill stand up show I ever saw, and I will admit, I didn't laugh for the first fifteen minutes or so because I just couldn't keep up with what he was doing. Once I figured out his masterful ability to interweave his jokes and his constant call backs that required a brilliant memory, I thought he was an absolute genius. I still do. 😊

This last followed by the brilliant scoop chop/mash sickness bit, which was a nice bonus.

Yes! I thought the same! Carr has worked onstage with him before at the Edinburgh Fest., so I expect he gets complementary tickets (should he want to go!). If they could have sat him with Eddie Murphy it would have been really loud.

This man was a professional doctor (GP) before comedy! He kept actual patients alive! 🤣 .....I think in this show, he's exorcising all those bleak YEARS of excessive sensibleness and having to have 'reasonable thoughts' every day, lol (For me he's up there with (the equally absurdist & far-out comedian) Bob Mortimer: Just in terms of sheer loveliness of character!)

Saw this tour with friends. Em and I were falling off our seats crying with laughter, Danny and Abigail ( who were last minute replacements for the couple we’d bought the tickets with) were sitting motionless looking a bit bemused. Its pretty easy to see who has come to know Harry from his TV work, and those who knew him from his stand up. I miss the stand up, but he obviously got bored with it and wanted to do something else which is fair enough.

I watched the behind the scenes documentary for Hooves (it's available on KZbin) and you get an idea of what goes into putting on these kinds of shows, especially latterly as he began to involve supporting characters and musical numbers. And Harry Hill is pretty fastidious about his show, too, and sees to it that things are done right, according to the documentary. Point being that there could be an element of it being quite draining to do the shows to the level he wants, which may in turn restrict the amount of touring he wants to do or can do. Stuff like TV Burp is a bit easier, just because it's in a more controlled (and static) environment and it's not all up to him to write the material.

I doubt Harry does drugs as he is a fully trained medical doctor. The type of humour he does, you either get it or you don't. Kudos to the guy, I've seen him live twice and numerous times on tv and think he is brilliant. His next ventours are a live tour in February and then a musical with Simon Cowell based on X Factor. The one thing I like about him is that he does not use or need expletives to get a laugh.

I love Harry's stand ups but they demand a lot more attention from the audience then the average stand up where you can dip in and out of focus and still be able to pick up the new jokes as they come. It would be a struggle for him to do this kind of routine these days, not because the marital is offensive (it is actually some of the most politically correct material you could possibly find) but just because audiences these days have the attention span of a goldfish and would get completely lost.
