The small country town of Woodstock is on the northeast edge of the Cotswolds, close to Chipping Norton, Oxford and Bicester (outlet shops).
The grounds of Blenheim Palace, which is right in front of the town, are huge and impressve. This is the only palace that is not owned by the royal family.
You can learn about the palace connection with the Churchill, how the successive Dukes of Marlborough maintained the palace, and about the art through the beautiful gardens, buildings, furnitre, and paintings. Worth the visit.
小さな田舎町ウッドストックは、コッツウォルズの北東の端にあり、チッピング・ノートン、オックスフォード、ビスター（アウトレットショップ）に近いロケーションです。
町のすぐ目の前にあるブレナム宮殿の敷地はとにかく広く、規模に圧倒されます。宮殿と言ってもここは唯一、王家の所有ではありません。
チャーチル家との繋がり、歴代マールボロ公たちが宮殿を維持してきた歴史、見応え十分の各種ガーデンなど、美しい建物、調度品、絵画も楽しめて、歴史の勉強にもなります。
