Burgess was disappointed in Ruzek and then she began to develop feelings for her partner. That's right, don't blame Roman. The decision was made by Kim.

More than likely when Roman says mom, he is referencing a stepmom since his died and his sister is 13 years younger than him. Most couples don't wait that long between children. He is 30 because he said he was born in 1989.

Even if Sean Roman did find his missing kid sister before she got frozen to death, would she get angry at him and say that she doesn't need his help, despite helping a drug dealer whether she would be going to prison or not? Sean had to try to find her rather than wait for the police to do it and couldn't go to the 21st District where he worked at for 2 years.
