The therapist is correct. Any time anyone goes through trauma, everything in the body remembers the trauma - every detail. The reaction time may not be right away, but the person will be forever affected. Denying any reaction to trauma is extremely foolish, to say the least, for all parties involved. Therapy is needed for everyone, at some point in time, so they know how to deal with the feelings they already have about the situation, or the ones they develop. If therapy does happen for Makayla, Kim and Adam - together, there may be hope for them yet.

It’s good that they’re in therapy. They’re working through some of their own issues also. What people don’t realize is Adam deeply hurt Kim back in the day. It’s been hard for her to trust Him again, but she’s getting there slowly by realizing how He’s changed and how great He’s with Makayla. Also both Marina & Patrick already said that Burzek is endgame but they’ll have to work through their issues first. Haters can hate on them all they want, but I can’t wait until they’re finally together and I predict they’ll be by next season.

There’s 2 episodes left. Riley Voelkel (Milena) is on a show that was renewed for season 3 and she’s a key character on that show. I have a bad feeling she may die by the finale.

I've fallen behind on a few episodes due to life getting busy but with this scene, it seems like Burgess is deflecting her own trauma by assuring the therapist that Mak is perfectly fine. Burgess has been through the wringer too and it's impossible for some of that to not resurface at some point; she has to be pushing down some PTSD of some kind.

The only one that needs therapy here is Kim. She doesn't want to see reality, she wants to live with everything is great and it will stay that way and if and when it doesn't she will fall apart. She and Makayla are very lucky to have Adam here, he has come a long way and is a great dad to Makayla and keeps Kim grounded, hope they keeps them happy for atleast awhile. Fans deserve it.

OMG THANK YOU!! I have been watching old episodes while keeping up with current ones. Kim fits the PD family as far as female/smart, etc. But when it comes to her as some uppity female personally- totally.! She doesn't even deserve Adam. She broke up the engagement cuz of what ROMAN said?? Some dumb test?? She can't think for herself?? Where is her heart for him?? She is waiting for MR PERFECT..GEEZUS. Let the guy go then. I can tell that Kim's going to say no, even if she says yes she doesn't mean it because of her actions, if you really want that with him and Makayla mean it by your actions not say yes and then regret that decision later. Burzek is the slowest train wreck in tv history. I miss the days Voight forbid his team to date each other. Now there’s a married couple, a pathetic couple and a black guy that can only manage to have one night stands every decade or so for some reason. Law & Order universe has been on forever, keeps getting better and had the smoothest crossover transition I’ve ever seen last week. Meanwhile, in Chicagoland, population over 20 million, Trudy has 2 sentences, the dating pool consists of only 3 people and no one has any idea how to write for a decent black man…

I agree. It is such an UNREALISTIC STORY LINE.The kid needs diverse friends and perhaps a parenting couple that are really happy together and not the guy sleeping on the sofa. Kim is a psycho and not the healthiest for Makayla. The kid will eventually figure out there is something off and unhealthy with this Princess and the guy set up. Because Kim''s love is NOT THERE FOR ADAM, the kid is missing that ingredient from parents. They mean well but they treat her like a project. Especially Kim. Adam has more soul than Kim.
