Tamura Makiko has mastery of the high AND low registers of the clarinet. People with mastery of the high register of the clarinet in jazz are common. People with mastery of the low register of the clarinet are harder to find.

if you had followed Makiko's career as long as I have , you would realise she is capable of playing numbers regardless of their difficulty , she is one of the best reed players anywhere , I speak as a reed player.

It's good... a little flat in the lower register ...but still only George had the Soul sound that only a few great licorice stick jazz souls had ...like Acker Bilk...and Benny. So I'll continue to search
