ABOUT IN YOUR EYES WE PERISH
‘IN YOUR EYES WE PERISH’ was recorded over a year and three months in the Nordeste, São Miguel-Açores, and took another year in Zurich, Switzerland, to finalize the vocals. This is BURIED BY LAVA's second album in four years. The album was produced by Hugo Oliveira with the strong support of the singer and composer of lyrics, Steven Medeiros and all the interaction of Buried by Lava “Claudio Fernandes and Luis Pacheco”. The album was mixed and mastered by Tiago Alves from Waveyard Studio and Art-Work done by Xavier Ramos.
About this new working relationship, Hugo says: “We invited Tiago Alves to mix this new album before I started recording anything, so we talked and he gave me some new advice about recording. This part was very important for me to achieve new results. Recording in total isolation in nature was fundamental for many songs. Many of these songs bring a great spiritual feeling to my soul. The whole band is happy with this new achievement and ready to take the stage.”
This new album maintains all the origins and roots of this band, the nature and the heavy sounds remain together and solid as one.
The album's cover painter, designed by Xavier Ramos, is inspired by the controversial vision of the human being. Each human being has a different interpretation of what they see. Good and evil are present in the eyes of each of us, bringing us the title “In your eyes we perish”.
