Burley Nomad Trailer floor fix

Greetings, Family, Friends and Subscribers.
This is for a viewer who asked how to do this.
Today’s video is all about how to reinforce the floor of the Burley Nomad Trailer. Which I am sorry to say, is not as good as it was. So with a bit of work and some peg board or ¼ inch thick playwood, you can make a very sturdy floor.
Here is wher you will need
A piece of peg board, big holes 24x24 inches.
If your going to put a piece in the front, you will need an extra piece, 20x12 inches.
Now if you use Peg board, you will have to add some 1x2 under the rear piece, if you use playwood, you wong. I like peg board, because if water gets in, it will drain off.
You will also need a 4 foot piece of good 1x2
Six wood screws and fender washers.
Paint, what ever coloer you like, and duct tape. I used Gorrila brand, its much more water proof.
That’s it, just follow the instructions in the video, and you will be good to go.

Brilliant, thank you. Don't worry about the video being too long, it was interesting and informative and that's what counts. I prefer the old model. I still don't know why they still have the footwell at the front instead of being flat, it's a cargo trailer NOT a kiddie trailer and the frame base is the same as the SOLO kiddie trailer it's just the side frame tubes that are different. I have just done the same thing but using a sheet of 3mm thick HDPE sheet and fixing it with tie wraps to the frame on my 2021 model, because I had it laying around. P.S. The rack makes a good place for mounting a rear light which is lacking on the latest models 2014-

Well, I used what I had at hand, to remake the floor. As for the tail light, its clamped to the flag post that stays on the trailer. Plus I have side light mounts on the rack. That rack is from my first trailer that got totaled, but the rack survived. My other beef with Burley, is the tow arm is bent in such a way, the trailer rides nose down. I was able to fix this, with the tow arm that came with my Wike trailer kit. I think Burley has just gotten lazy.

@@longrider42 The tow bar for the Solo is what Burley recommended I use for my recumbent trike with 20" wheels. It doesn't have the kick up bend in it. HTH
