Burlington Area History [Stuck in Vermont 637]
Bob Blanchard grew up in Burlington’s South End in the 1950s-60s and has nostalgic memories of life in the Queen City. Although he is no longer a resident, Bob has been sharing historic posts and tidbits on the Facebook page Burlington Area History for a year and a half. The group has grown to almost 13,000 members, and people treat the page like a community bulletin board, sharing memories, photos and reconnecting.
Eva met up with Bob on a blustery Saturday afternoon to visit a few of his favorite historic spots on Burlington’s waterfront and along Church Street.

I follow Bob on Facebook - live in the UK now - and 'my' Burlington was of the late 50s/early 60s so I truly love all this! Brilliant!

Great video. I just went to Burlington today with my family for the first time. Architecture was beautiful but we didn't stay not even 15 minutes. There were so many homeless and drug addicts everywhere in the downtown market place. I saw a guy smoking crack in the parking structure. Sad to see beautiful towns get destroyed by drugs.

VT and Burlington were my home for about 2 years as an international student. I never doubt that if someday I had the chance to live in the US, VT would definitely be my place to settle down.
