What a fabulous video of my home country of Myanmar! As you know, Inwa was known as Ava in the past. I've been there once as a young boy. And yes, Sagaing is one of my favorite destinations in the country. The scenery of all the pagodas dotting the hillside there is one of the most spectacular views in the world and believe me, having been to 44 countries, I have seen quite a lot of amazing views. While serving in the Burma Navy, I was on a river gunboat on temporary duty. We cruised up the mighty Ayeyarwaddy River all the way from Yangon to Mandalay and I have never forgotton the sights and sounds of the rural life along this great river which Rudyard Kipling the famous English author described vividly in his poem, "The Road To Mandalay." Oh yes, you are so right when you mentioned in your introduction that we can learn so much from these simple village people.

Thank you Sett, I appreciate your comment. I have visited Myanmar many times since the 90’s. It is indeed a place of great beauty. The Chin Hills, the Irrawaddy, Inwa, U-bien, Maymyo, and many other places are unforgettable, but the people are very special. Paul
