"With broken arms I'm left to carry my shell, with no help from the current." Reference to The Current Will Carry Us. Another thing kind of like Witness where he calls himself out on his past lyrics. People always ask why Brendan doesn't like Prophets or The Current. But it seems pretty obvious that lyrically those first two albums came from very different places emotionally and I could see why he wouldn't be as stoked on that stuff at this point in his life.

I’ve grown accustom to losing sleep. Sweep me off my feet, dig your nails into my wounds and pull. A lucid dream, my chest will collapse from the weight of infertile form. Tear through me and deliver me my release. With broken arms I’m left to carry my shell with no help from the current. Lifeless, I am dragging me down. Hollow, I’m left to fend for myself. Forget everything that you’ve come to know. We are not meant for much but to carry our own misery. Is there a God cursing every step that I take? Or have I been forced to commit myself to the dirt? We are merely chasing the grave… but the lucky ones have learned to surpass it. Be still. Serenity blesses us in waves. With eyes like mountains, we’re drawn to the brow… leave this life behind and take the next step in the right direction. Stare at the sky, and offer yourself to circumstance. Be the burn… burn me alive.

cory mathson "It’s about not being afraid of any negative outcome… and what’s the worst thing that could happen to you? Death. No, it’s not me telling kids to be reckless and go cartwheel next to some really high cliffs, but it’s a song about me finding the courage to leave my life up to chance. [...] The last thing I want people to think is that I’m encouraging kids to take their lives for granted. It’s quite the opposite. Sometimes you need to sacrifice certain things to be truly happy. I’ve learned that the hard way. It’s not about finding the courage to DIE, it’s about finding the courage to truly live. [...] I’m going live my life in my own way, and if it leads to me dying next week, I just don’t care. At least I’ll die happy. I’ve offered my life to circumstance and I hope I live to see it pay off. I took that leap off the edge and hope that something will catch me before I hit the ground. I lit myself on fire and hope that something will put me out… But if that’s not the case, at least I went for it." - Brendan Murphy on deathrattle.ca/
Seemed to be a little breakdown heavy, but that is the only thing that really stands out to me as a difference. Nonetheless, it sounds like a pretty tight song, and I cannot wait until a studio version is released and I can hear the lyrics a lot more clearly. xD

It's about not caring about dying. Like not letting death stop you from living you know what I mean?
