@@user-ud8cm1fr6l Too much of the Yngive thing more is better and can never be enough. Blackmore is more old school and does not overplay and has a bluesy feel to his playing. Also the screaming here is too operatic and too high while the older version has more of a bluesy Robert Plantlike wail.

Tommy in 1975 I was 22 years old and when I bought this album,(I still have the original vinyl album) I was smitten. A big change in direction for Deep Purple with the two vocalists,but also such strong material. You have brought this song to a whole new generation in 2024. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE,cover 'Mistreated' at some point in your inimitable style. A song for the ages !! ❤

The fact that thousands of people have covered this song shows just how great this 50 year old song is, the blistering guitar of Blackmore the vocal of Coverdale and the high register of Hughes, the rolling keyboards of lord and the heavy beat from paice have made this a foundation stone for all rockers to emulate , a great job done here, saw depp purple in 91 when joe lynn turner sang this, and it was great to see Blackmore and paice and lord revive the song, also saw Glenn Hughes cover this many times, he still has that great voice, this song will last forever
