Gonna be honest, Lotus' flow was waaaay better in the original. It sounds a little all over the place and awkward in this version in comparison to the original. Specifically in the second verse. Not bad or anything, it still works for the song, but i can't help but feel the original was smoother.

I think it's supposed to be in the protags perspective, it's more of a ballad and a story then the original.

It’s probably the cleaner mixing. It lacks that classic PS2 crunch so it sorta falls flat.
