First he mounted his winch to the bed not the bumper, the bed was thin rusted out sheet metal, he didn't pull the car far enough on to the trailer to make the center of gravity go forward, he didn't raise the ramp after putting the car on the trailer, and he wasn't wearing a seat belt! TL:DR This guy got what he deserved!!!

Moffets don't have counterweights, so they're lightweight compared to their lifting-weight. Also, their forks can move forward/back quite a ways (~3-4 ft? never actually measured it). He forked into whatever, which acts a new counterweight. Then he literally lifted himself up there, and then pulled himself on to that truck bed. Don't ask me the 'why' though, I can't fathom the 'why'.
