Burn victim, Alecia King, graduates high school

When Alecia King sang the chorus of Lila Iké’s Where I Am Coming From, there were no dry eyes inside the Bread of Life Ministries in Linstead, St Catherine. The 18 year-old burn victim, who cheated death by mere moments, was among the Dinthill Technical High School graduating class of 2024 on Thursday. Her soulful voice, that echoed throughout section of the St Catherine community, may forever be etched in the memories of those who were fortunate to hear. As she stood on the podium, King was greeted with explosive cheers and a standing ovation from her fellow graduates and members of the audience.

Very touching indeed. She is very resilient and certainly God is merciful toward her. My hope is that this terrible situation will also be a warning and learning moment to other girls , please just focus on your development and education during school years, enjoy being a teen without complicating your life with unnecessary intimate relationships. It can more than wait, these relationships often deadly as we have seen in other cases as well. I hope that justice has been done, may God continue to heal her physically , emotionally and physically.

Tears rolling down my face..this student is a roll model ..a strong young lady ..God saved her life from that Burnt ..a burnt victim who travelled to Texas by the Medical team from Jamaica. Thanks to the medical team of Jamaica and Texas Medical hospital team that has taken the best care for her she deserved the best..a prosperous teenager who has plans for the future endeavors academics. Last but least Michelle her step Mom..thanks again, you've done a great job..her school board Principal, teachers and fellow students ..thanks for your attentive guidance and love you've given Alicia.
