Moreover, my favorite book of all time is "Things Fall Apart" by the late great Chinua Achebe. I was even drawn to Afrobeat and Fela. I said all that to say this, before I took my African DNA test, I said that the result is going to be some connection to Nigeria. When I got the result back, I just smiled. I smiled even bigger because of what it said. How many rappers and artistes in Africa are trying to sound so American? Let's not forget that due to inequality we also have Africans who were born in the diaspora - personally I've only started seeing them have more pride in their roots now more than ever. Even some African Americans are thinking of moving to Africa, yet before it never really crossed most of their minds. That's my opinion, based on observation anyway.
