Hi Zach, this is the first Demolition video I saw of yours. You sure have the skill down to operate those Excavators efficiently. When you were loading the Steel into the Dump truck we could see the whole truck go down from the weight of the bucket and machine. Glad that you were able to get everything loaded and cleaned up in the end. It is always amazing to see the massive weight and power of those Excavators. Glad that the audio was better the second half of the video. The first half I was able to understand enough words to piece the conversation together.

@benburns5995 yeah, I'm so sorry about the audio. I didn't know it was going to be that bad until it was too late to fix it. I'll make sure it's better in future videos. That machine was so big and strong. I'm sure I clukd have crushed that little dump truck if I tried.

We've done a couple bank repo clean outs. It's funny how they have specific things they want done. Nothing more, nothing less. We had to take before and after pics, submit, and they seem to happily stroke a check as long as they can check off the appropriate boxes.

It's interesting how things go when people who don't do the work make the decisions sometimes 😅

When that wood is gray some people like the look of it for frames and stuff but man that wood is charred
@zaccheus2 ай бұрын
That's what I was thinking! It's all nasty to touch too so even if someone wanted the charred texture, it wpukdnt be suitable for use in a house.

Hi Zach - Sadly, can't hear a darn thing you've been saying while in the cab. You being so smart should look into fixing this problem for future videos. Great work.

@OMGaNEWBIE I too was disappointed to hear the audio for this video was so poor. I have a solution in mind and I'll have it fixed for the next video!

Zach, you have a great attitude and worked efficiently so the site looks much better. What audio problem? I could hear your every word. ha ha. The overall quality of this video overrode any audio problems. Blessings to you.

What a mess. Hard to see some real progress when you have to spend so much time having to separate all the different pieces of crap. But I know you possess a great amount of professional perseverance. That sounded like a very busy area anyway. Lots of traffic in the background. Stay safe buddy.

@ClellWise Thanks, Clell! It was on the corner of a busy intersection. The fella who delivered and picked up the hoe said he had a hard time dropping it off because of all the traffic.

Logic says that they wouldn’t store the empties at the tip, so the guy delivering them would not be the same guy who takes the full ones away.

I don't even think Barnwood Builders would have wanted those timbers. Too much work for maybe nothing reuseable.

@marymulrooney1334 that's what I'm thinking too. I'm all for saving as much as we can of those old barns, but this one was beyond salvageable.

What's the purpose of separating everything if it's all going to same spot? The metal I can see scrap it make some money back. Is that how the dump wants it or what?
@zaccheus2 ай бұрын
Great question. There are two classes of debris. There is "construction debris and demolition" aka CD&D or C&D and then there is sanitary refuse. The sanitary stuff is anything in a house that isn't a part of the house. So furniture, clothes, news papers, cardboard, plastoc toys etc. The C&D is stuff that the house is made out of like wood, brick, concrete siding, shingles and carpet. The two different classes go to two different landfills and are charged at two different rates. C&D is $8-10/yard and sanitary is $60-105 a ton depending on what landfill you go to around here. The epa is much more strict for sanitary landfills and I think thays what drives the price up.

@zaccheus awesome information I appreciate the response. Not just the response but the detail to which you answered. Makes total sense. I imagine at end of day some get re used some doesn't. But probably ends up about the same place. Kinda how a lot of big cities have abandoned recycling for the most part. Bc it ends up in same place bc the requirements are so strict on how clean it has to be. Especially with plastics. Idk and China I guess is really no longer taking our trash

One more thing- loud background music often interferes with your narrative.
