The Burned Tower is one of the more interesting locations in the Pokemon world because of all the lore and history it has surrounding it. Ecruteak City is one of my favorite towns in Pokemon for this exact fact, and the Burned Tower provided a super cool origin story for the three legendary beasts. I hope you enjoy the remix!

Another fine remix! I always think of Koffing when I hear the opening of the Burned Tower, I guess because Koffing is seen on the little image you see when you enter the Tower during the day, haha.

This song really exemplifies the tragedy that happened there. Though one has to wonder, why were Lugia and HO-OH fighting and Why did Ho-oh burned down the tower?

astronaut animations channel the information found in crystal says otherwise and when you take HO-OH to the burned tower in heartgold/soulsilver, HO-OH reacts reacts violently, with rage not sorrow. Also the burned tower was constructed similarly except with one notable difference, it was built with brass, hence it's previous name. Brass, being a metal wouldn't be lit on fire with a lightning strike, in.fact it would absorb it and transfer the electrical energy to the harmlessly. Most likely a safety measure for Lugia's power so that he won't accidentally destroy his own tower. Lugia's power invites storms, a 40 day one in fact, so yes, there was naturally lightning at the time, but it wouldn't have harmed the tower. Also you half to take the stats into consideration, why would a supposely pacifist phenix be offensive. It would make more sense for it to be defensive if it was a pacifist, but Lugia is the defensive one. Also take into consideration that Ho-oh's tower, the bell tower is not scratched at all, no damage what so ever and Lugia can most certainly at least damage a tower. Not to mention that most if not all the battle was around Lugia's tower, like that he was attacked. Lugia was fighting a defensive battle, protecting the tower and those in it. As we know, Lugia was not successful, the brass tower was BURNED down and three pokemon died. Note on the emphasis on it being burned down, Lugia as the guardian of the seas doesn't burn things, it is not his element, it would be blown away if anything else, but we know that it was built so that it wouldn't happen. Now ho-oh one the other hand, it's signature move is sacred Fire, which engulfs the opponent in sacred flames and Burns them. Now how sacred flames typically work, is that they will continue burning until the user, or the one who the flames belong to, wills it to stop or until there is nothing left to burn. Ho-oh most likely revived those three in grief and to clear it's conscious.

I don't think Ho-Oh burned down the tower. I believe that maybe Lugia awakened and as the clouds rolled in, Ho-Oh knew that he had awakened and left the tower. However, when he left, the tower got struck by lightning and caught fire. Soon after, Lugia and Ho-Oh began fighting and the storm began putting the fire out. After Ho-Oh put Lugia back to sleep, he comes back to the tower to see it burned with the three pokemon perished and is enraged at Lugia for causing the storm. Some pokemon were created to maintain peace like azelf, mespirit, and uxie were for palkia and dialga who could ultimately destroy the world. In a sense, Lugia could drown the world and Ho-Oh was created to make sure that didn't happen. But that's just my theory.

Brittany Vang yours is different than mine, I am going by evidence provided by crystal and heartgold. Also Lugia doesn't sleep and the brass tower was made to withstand lightning anyway. So that theory doesn't make much sense.
