I have plans of making a big 4"x4" pillar bees wax candle with wood wicks. Do you have any suggestions as to how kany wicks to use for that size? And spacing and so forth?

What type of wick do you use for beeswax container candles? I’m currently testing out CD wicks. Thanks.

Thank you for the tip to put wax back onto the wick after blowing out the candle.

I'm just getting into hobbyist candle making. I've been less than impressed with pure soy candles. I haven't tried making, or burning, beeswax candles yet, but I like the sound of their benefits. If getting some wax onto the wick after extinguishing the candle is beneficial, would using a wick dipper to extinguish the candle be a better approach? It's a metal tool used to bend the wick over and submerge it briefly in the melt pool to extinguish it, then straighten the wick back up. I have one, but haven't tried using it yet. I've been using a candle snuffer for extinguishing candles.

Thanks for a great video. I’m a hobbyist beeswax candle maker. I love to gift people with the candles that I make. What are your thoughts on adding coconut oil to your candles? Do you add essential oils to your candles? What size wicks do you use and where do you get them from. I think Mann Lake probably sells the best wicks.

How do you burn one that's not in a glass jar? I have one that's 6" tall and 3" round that leaked wax over the edge within 30 min. What did I do wrong?

If you are referring to a pillar candle then there are some very different considerations... in that case you DO want tunneling, which keeps the outside of the candle intact. Try using a smaller Wick and possible blending a quicker burning wax into it (such as coconut or sustainably harvest palm oil)
