After listening to the interview I realised that these two soldiers had immense courage to tell everything as it really is and go public about a system that is totally corrupt from the very top down. The point that stood out more than anything in the whole interview was when they were speaking about Israel's relationship with the USA and how much things are connected, one of them said " I think we realise that there is a bigger game going on, that we are not the only player in this game and that’s why we are here" and it's up to everyone to come to their own conclusion on what that statement means. I for one hope they do manage to spread the truth about what happened in Gaza but I imagine there are some individuals in positions of great power who must be worrying what else they are going to reveal and would prefer they were silenced. They must feel similar to Edward Snowden and no one should ever have to feel like that for telling the truth.

Among many things these Israeli ex-soldiers say that I find very significant, Noam Chayut says at 22 minutes in: "I think the US public opinion is the most powerful weapon the IDF, Israel has. I had the same thoughts about having the personal courage to do what is morally right had I found myself in a similiar situation. The answer was no. These two are an excellent example of always being truthful regardless of how difficult it may become for them personally for doing so. In a small way I believe we share a little of that quality with these men. Having an inner conversation with and being brutally honest with the answers to our own questions takes a form of courage too.
