I don't know why but I started to cry watching this. I think it is that there are still people capable of forming this kind of community, for however long, wherever it may be, and whatever it takes to do it. Bless you and thanks. M

Mike Fekula you should experience the temple brotha, it’s heavy and incredibly profound. Our society has absolutely nothing like it. Every virgin comes for the party and art and but are mostly impacted by the temple, the gifting and the occasional DPW insult. 😂

Thank you so much for sharing your experiences. I have been watching from afar for years and thoroughly enjoy all of it. Installation art at it's finest. Life is Art. Love and Peace to you all. ♥

Tears streaming down my face, this will be my 7th year. And as I am amidst the pre-burn stress, I needed this reminder about why I'm actually doing this... Burning Man is so important to me. I was looking for a video to try and show a friend what Burning Man is about, and this short film hits it home. Thank you friend

I worked in law enforcement and one year we were sent to assist the local county sheriff's Dept at this event, it was very nice and until a plane crashed... Then we got busy. But the people attending were polite and respectful and helpful during the aircraft accident. I truly enjoyed my experience even though I had to work

so then why dont you do it? i agree 100% but this is easier said then done in a society that discourages self expression. if someone were to walk down the street naked, (being themselves, literally their physical selves), they would be arrested. why is it right to arrest someone for being themselves? this is just one extermemly basic example. the truth is, youre right. and its what everyone at burning man believes as well. i just expierenced my first burning man and it changed my life forever. thats beauty of it. its whatever you want it to be, literally empowers you. it can be just another festival or the moment you find yourself and learn to truly LOVE.

What a bunch of overdramatized hippy crap. I’ve been a burner for two decades... it’s an expensive party in the desert it isn’t some spiritual life changing soul searching psychobabble journey. Jesus H...

My twelfth time coming up in a week - and the great thing about this event is that it can be that "expensive party" for you - and lots of other amazing experiences for other people. I certainly bring much much more to it, and get back much more from it than any "party" could provide; and my perspective would be shared by many and discounted by many. The magic of this city is that you can make of it what you will. The text in this clip is a bit heavy-handed, and the music a bit Hollywood, but visually it is a good 17 minute representation of the myriad wonders that happen there.

Joe Monstermaker actually, a burn is what you make of it. :) if you chose for the experience to be all about the party, that’s on you. But if you chose to see yourself in everyone you meet, the experience because a never ending journey of self discovery. Much Love!!

I find that whole segment very emotional. All these messages, people fighting cancer, abuse, injustice or simply letting go of what they hold dear, everybody has lost a loved one, a family member, a pet or some object precious to them. I can only imagine the collective relieve of bottled up emotions of the crowd when it all goes op in flames, sending their prayers to the heavens. Must be such a spiritual moment.

I love burning man more than almost any other place. I have been 5 times. This is a beautiful video. I cant help think this video would be more accurate if a dj was playing annoyingly in the background while the narrator is trying to talk in the beginning. the. dance. music. never. stops. never. Leaving burning man and living life after in the 'normal world' is also really hard and worth showing a peak into.

Tammy Robinson that’s a great attitude and approach. It’s an amazing place! You could watch videos for a lifetime but will still blown your mind, test you and reach deep into your heart. That is the beauty of BRC. Be prepared for the long waits during egress and exodus, especially if it’s windy. Have your supplies accessible. Bring playa gifts for people you meet, whether it’s something you made, a bad joke anything or bad advice. Anything goes. Have a grand time!

Even this incredible video doesn't capture the places in your soul BM takes you, no drugs needed. Everyone who is upset at this event without ever having been, Burners are a self-selecting group, so if you don't want to go, we honestly probably don't need you there. Haters don't do well out on the playa.

Funny that most of those doing the 'shitting' seemingly have never been to BurningMan yet are making a lot of judgments about what it is and what it is not. But Rob, that's what many people do - judge that which they haven't experienced, making up their minds without actually being open minded and first experiencing something. Welcome to the human condition. It's called prejuidice. Note: If anyone wants to hate on my comment...that's perfectly legit. It's you're right to do so - and public comments open one to such, but just know, I won't bother to re-engage in anything but civil discourse. Name calling is immature. I'm not going there. Rob, I've been to BurningMan 4x. It's been a while. Last time was 2008. I don't do drugs....so the accusation of it being nothing but a 'rave party' - sorry nope. Are there drugs there? Sure - same as most concerts, bars and other public venues. It wows me that anyone can watch this entire vid - with an open mind and get nothing but 'hate' from it. Still to each his own. That is the beauty of one of the lessons of BurningMan - each of us is on our own path so there is no need to argue who is right, who is wrong. There is no right/wrong in this case, just different viewpoints based upon each persons path in life. Personally, most of the BurningMan people I know - while not perfect - who is - are mainly filled with a lot of love and tolerance for other individuals. I myself strive to be non-judgmental (strive - I too have my own thoughts) and definitely authentic and open minded.. I believe you get out of things mainly what you put into them. You see evil where you expect to. You see good where you expect to. Sam out.

I get to watch more and more videos about the Burning Man lately. I absolutely understand that some videos are true, some are not. But fck... Being a positive one i clearly see that there should be lots of free minded and interesting people there. Moments i will remember after visiting - those i live for. Seems like i'm going to be there some year. And yes, great work on the video. All the best from Moscow, Russia.
The side of Burning Man you've never seen.
