You are the most reliable and consistent KZbinr that I follow. Can pretty well watch what you've filmed everyday with my dinner. Thank you Chris for being so consistent and dependable. I love watching you operate that heavy equipment and working on them occasionally.

Hey Bernard, well said sir! I wind down from stressful days to Chris's videos every day. Some times I am to tired or have to sacrifice watching to get some sleep for my next day and like this video sometimes cheat and click ahead only to realize I missed something and have to go back! I was an heavy equipment operated for over 20 years though I now am a commercial truck driver. I truly can appreciate(as others) the finesse and work ethic.

I used to burn pine slash in Alabama and Georgia a few decades ago and that stuff had so much pitch in it the stuff would almost explode in front of your face even if it was dried just a few days. The pine was far wilder to burn than hardwoods ever were. I think I burned more than a few vinyl decals off - Talk about some HEAT!
@animenut692 жыл бұрын
Yup, used to burn logs and other wood junk at a marina and some times the heat could be felt 20 something feet away

Lovely day for burning - fresh air, sun shining, wind changes, hail and rain - with some clearing thrown in for good measure. Good one. Just watched S.O.T. Metalworks make the grill for Barney - they are clever operators - looks beautiful on the truck.

That's going to be a really nice piece of property once you're done with it Chris. Such a drastic change from what it was when you started. Opening up drainage, and clearing and burning all that brush and trash trees had really turned that place around. Great video as always!

You need to take a dish liquid (Dawn) and fill it with off road diesel,/dyed kerosene to keep in the excavator when you are burning brush. It makes a great squeeze bottle for starting fires.

I've done a fair amount of burning big piles, (not as many as this at once) and have found that as long as you are quick about it, no real damage gets done to the machine. This includes pushing it all together with a skid steer as it gets down. Pretty hot work and I may have reduced the track life a little bit doing it..XD

I was burning a pile near a tree line and my little nephew said, "that tree is gonna catch on fire." I told him it was far enough away it wouldn't be a problem. I didn't know it was hollow. About an hour later the tree sounded like a jet engine and there was smoke coming out a fork in the tree 20' up. Little guy is smarter than me.

I'm sure it has happened before, but I have never been or been around anyone who was in the cab of a machine during a hail storm. Granted, it was pea sized, but still a unique situation. Most dirt work, or ag work (in my case) is done when the weather is nice.
