Braun MultiQuick 9 Immersion Hand Blender Unboxing

So this is another little item I bought and stored away in the garage until I found the time to play with it. It's the Braun MultiQuick 9 Immersion Hand Blender. I have wanted an immersion blender for a while. I did a little research to find what I thought was gong to best suit my needs. I think this could be the one. After that excellent, awesome presentation, I certainly don't have any questions; you covered everything brilliantly, thank you muchly. I have just bought the Braun MultiQuick 9 Hand Blender, Hand Mixer, XL Food Processor, Active PowerDrive Technology, Chopper 500ml, 600 ml BPA-Free Beaker with Lid, 1200W, MQ 9135XI, Black from Amazon for £99.61, with less accessories than the range that you just reviewed, but more than enough to get me well on the way with this blender tool. I can't wait for delivery tomorrow. One thing that I did particularly respect and appreciate about your presentation, was how carefully and gently you disassembled the packaging, the sign of a true craftsman. Most unboxers just rip everything apart cackhandedly and engage in all manner of ridiculous antics. But you, Sir, were as cool as a cucumber. It was a pleasure to watch your dignified and gentlemanly presentation, which came well prepared with product knowledge that you studied beforehand. Very kind regards. Christophe

I just bought a multiquick9 but it did not contain the 5 cup jug and ice blade. I’m disappointed. It also does not have the three speed settings on top of the stick. Can you tell me the model number of your mq9? Maybe they don’t sell one like you got in Australia. If I can get the model number of yours I can find out what the deal is here in Oz. How and for what do you find the 5 cup blender/chopper and ice blade useful?

Thanks! Mine is the MQ9087x . Apparently it just depends on what each country company branch choose as the model they want to go with and that they are happy to do repairs on. Australia now have the MQ9187xLi model but again we don’t get the jug and ice crusher. Same as last one just slightly diff design and this time has the varying speeds on the stick handle. I would have loved the ice crusher but I’m not prepared to move to America for it. :(

I enjoy using mine but be aware that using the stick mixer in non stick cookware scratches the lining the machine is poorly designed and shouldn't have such a sharp edge.

I did not know that. I only use it in my aluminum/steel pan and pots. Not so much in my Bialetti cookware.

"Unboxing" videos cover only "What" a product contains and claims to do. "How" a product performs tasks (i.e. demonstrating various foods being processed) and "Why" a user may or may not find the product useful are 2/3 of the story. For example, cutting french fries is virtually instantaneous, but requires the cleanup of 5 components, whereas a knife & cutting board takes somewhat longer for the cutting but cleanup of the knife and cutting board is almost instantaneous. So Unboxing videos only cover 1/3 of what matters. 👍👎👎

The Braun MQ 9 is a superb high end immersion blender BUT.....The instruction manual is the WORST. It is incomplete, poorly written, confusing and lacks needed explanations of using accessories. Dear Braun, you certainly could have provided a useful, coherent manual.

Yeah, I'd agree. I can say the warranty service is good. I needed to have the motor replaced after 3 months. It was quick and simple process, and they sent an extra 1 cup chopper/processor for the trouble.
