MD-102 - Explore Endpoint Management

Microsoft MD-102 - Explore Endpoint Management (Module 1) of the Full Free Video Course. This course is the replacement for MD-100 and MD-101 courses.
This is the full Module 1 of the Microsoft MD-102 course which consists of 8 modules in total. There will be a dedicated video for each of the 8 modules of the course on this channel. The videos will on average be about 1 hour long each since they each will cover a whole module.
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
If you do NOT have experience yet with working with desktops and basic Windows 10/11, it's highly recommend you FIRST watch the Microsoft MD-100 playlist on my channel. Yes that course is being retired BUT the content in is still relevant, 1 + 1 is still 2. That course is great for preparing yourself for the MD-102 otherwise you're going to struggle to follow along with the course since Microsoft has no new course to replace the old MD-100.
IF you however feel you already have the experience, then by all means ignore what I said above and carry on watching the MD-102 videos.

You are a hero. Thank you so much for the effort you put into these videos! Edit: as a package engineer, I thought it was interesting you mentioned App-V as a virtualization method. While it is still very much used, the scheduled extended EOL date is creeping up (2026-Q3) and MSIX is supposed to take over the virtualization job. MSIX currently still takes quite a lot of work to even approach the success level App-V is able to provide, but just good to keep in mind that a change is coming.

Thanks for this free tutorial. A quick thought: MD-100 is not only relevant, it is FUNDAMENTAL for beginner IT technicians because it teaches where to find the main Windows components that usually need configuration and troubleshooting.

Very right you are. The Official MD-102 course was actually supposed to be released now the end of May but I see now they have informed us that there has been complaints about the course and that they have delayed the release of the official course until further notice. I wonder if the delay is not maybe because the their new course mostly only covers stuff from the MD-101 and almost nothing from MD-100. That "Gap" might be the issue. Will have to wait and see I guess

Yeah it's scary how big of a difference that one letter can make. You'll be surprised to know how many people don't know there is a difference between the md-102 and the ms-102 :)

@@rohit_wagh MD-102 is about Endpoint Deployment and Management... MS-102 is Microsoft 365, the office suite, licenses, etc... 2 different ball games completely

Cool you're doing this one now... I passed the MD100 and then learnt the next day that it was no longer worth anything and have to do everything from scratch lol. Not only that I had taken an MD101 instructor course.

Yeah Microsoft is really making it hard for some folks lately with them changing their certs so often now. This MD-102 course I'm delivering is not even actually "officially" released yet. It was supposed to be released end of May but then Microsoft notified us that due to some "issues" they are holding it back until further notice. They gave us no timeframe though haha I could be wrong but I suspect it might be due to the fact that the new MD-102 course covers none of the stuff that used to be in MD-100 which is fundamental for most people to help them follow along with the rest of the stuff which used to be in MD-101

If a person starts as a beginner they should learn md-101 first or directly start learning md-102 Reply please

As a beginner, they need to start with MD-100. It helps the person build a foundation first on the basics of Client computers. Once a person has the foundation, then they can move onto MD-102

@@mianhussnain3714 Correct, after completing MD-100, you can go directly to MD-102. The MD-102 is a new Microsoft course that will be replacing the old MD-100 and MD-101. The content in the new MD-102 course however is 95-99% only from the old MD-101 course so if your someone new in IT, your going to struggle your butt off to follow along. That's why I personally recommend someone new in IT watches the MD-100 videos first. If someone already has some IT knowledge, then of course they can skip the MD-100 videos and jump straight to the MD-102.

This entire course is useless for the MD-102 exam! You literally just read what's in the exam script and comment on that. Exam questions are far more in depth than any of the topics you touch. Like which Powershell command to use or how to use dsregcmd to troubleshoot. Literally waste of time listening to you.
