Hi, thanks for watching. I'm afraid my Norwegian isn't very good so I apologise for writing back in English. I'm pleased you spotted yourself in the video. Which ferry do you work on?

@@sjedouglas Ah, I thought you were Norwegian due to the video's title. The day you travelled, I was working on the ferry "Stryn", at about 40 seconds into the film.

@@SindreFuruli No worries. I decided to do the video in Norwegian as I'm trying to learn the language and I thought it might help. Slow progress so far but given travel restrictions, I might not make it over for a while. I remember that day fondly. I was staying in Ålesund on that holiday and on that day, I drove up to Kristiansund to check out Gjemnessundbrua, Atlanterhavstunnelen and Storseisundbrua. On the way back, I decided the long E39 ferry would be boring so I looked at the map and saw there was an alternative route via the ferry you were working on which also allowed me to tick off Innsfjordtunnelen and Tresfjordbrua. The thing I remember most about Sølsnes to Åfarnes crossing is that it was the first time I'd been directed onto the high level and I was dreading smacking my hire car's wing mirror off the side of the vessel. Comparatively speaking, Norwegian ferries are a lot easier to use than the ones I'm used to in Scotland. Over here, they're expensive, infrequent and normally, you've got to book in advance.

Vi seilte bare med 12 ferger, ettersom vi gjorde to turer med Høgsfjord. :-)
