really enjoyed battle report especially with underlying humour in the narrative, liked not having to watch dice rolls and the details of the hit roles in a popup was a nice touch, the length of battle was good better than watching a near 50mins report and getting bored and turning off. nice start for your Battle reports look forward to more ))

A fooking brilliant and entertaining video. A nice addition to the usual building videos. I thought the format was good. You re-told the story of the game, and highlighted the dramatic moments. The pop-up text boxes showing the factors involved in the attacks and blocks was great, but if they are taking a lot of time then you could consider not adding them next time. Looking forward to the sequel in the catacombs !

Thanks Steve - I enjoyed this game and making this video. They take a little preparing, but not as much as a build video. - Next time I will not spend as long with the character cards as I didn't really use those. But I will keep going with the Text boxes, it's a nice way to get some rule details in without making it a tutorial.

@@magratheabuilderofworlds7141 Yeah. i wanted to do those 50 minute bat reps, but none of my friends wanted to be filmed. then there's the editing involved. i think with mine, i would just tear into the "movie" and then introduce the characters through script lines, such as "lookout for that guy Bob" type of thing. The more videos that come along after the first, the more the audience will get to know the characters.

That was the best battle report par none. The scenery, world, and story were top notch. The rat pack comedy of errors, bad rolls, and mistakes in the assault plan (or was it intentional to send the plate mail wearing, polearm wielding creature on the roof). I hope you continue in this vein.

Beautiful! My favourite characters in this were the mage, Nicodemus (loved the magic effects and it's weird but my first ever rroleplay character was in D&D with the same name, also a mage called Nicodemus!) and Sniffy because he's a great model and really well posed. I like the way you're focussing on the narrative with this batrep - I like plenty of context and exposition in tabletop battles, to set the scene, present the challenge for each party and measure and retell the tides of battle, the outcome and aftermath. Another youtube channel whose batreps I enjoy narratively (there is a lot of rule-talk too) is Miniature Game Montage, for example: kzbin.info/www/bejne/epfUaJyQbLyilac If you haven't checked them out, I would recommend that channel's Necromunda series. Also, I'm really chuffed you're going to do some Necro/Aquamunda batreps in future which might benefit from some grimdark ambience in terms of audio?
