Burrtec: WXLL OG McNeilus Autoreach

To continue with more Burrtec...
We found this old Autoreach handling trash out of Burrtec's Palm Desert yard. I have to say it was really cool to see the original 20-year-old Autoreach design. Paired with a cool driver who revs occasionally (only overloaded bins or he risks running out of natural gas) made for an awesome time filming.

I would love to see this truck in the old paint. But wow what an awesome truck this is. Those rims are so nice and definitely add to the old look of the truck. These first gen autoreaches are some of my favorite trucks, love the curves and all. I really wish there were more CNG trucks like this, the old rumble they have is awesome. Lovin the Autoreaches you guys found out there. Great job!

Wow, I miss being able to spill an overloaded cart and just drive away. The market area now you gotta pick up every little stitch even if it's not in the cart. Everybody is jumping companies now with Republic, Waste Management and WCA all working in the area now. If you can do one thing that makes you shine compared to them you gotta do it. People are so tired of these big names that it's a perfect opportunity to build a new customer base. I used to grab the cans rough so the overage would fall out and keep on rolling lol.

Amen. California with its contracted haulers means drivers have it pretty easy, almost as easy as those that work for the municipalities that collect their own trash. where do you work and for whom?

is that honestly the reason, he said it was running out of gas? he comes that close to empty by the end of the day that he can't speed up the arm with a little throttle? anyways love the truck too, any sort of painted rims are always a sight for mine sore eyes lol. good operating style too. and I guess you did sort of an okay job filming as well, love how you can see the terrible lag the arm has at about 6:05 in the video (yay also for poorly mounted joysticks, up way too high)
